JNTUH Hostel – First-year room allotment and reporting process
Hi everyone, I’m joining JNTUH this year and will be staying in the hostel. I wanted to know how the hostel reporting/room allotment process actually works based on your experience.
For students who recently joined JNTUH:
- On the day of reporting, should we bring all our luggage with us, or should we first go to the hostel office and complete room allotment and then come back with the luggage?
- What is the actual process for getting the room allotted?
- Is there a specific time/last date until which room allotment is done? Can we report later in the day or on another day?
- After getting the room allotted, can we immediately move our luggage into the room?
- How many students are usually there per room in the boys' hostels? Is it 2-sharing, 3-sharing, etc.?
- What facilities are provided in the room — bed, mattress, cupboard, study table/chair, fan, etc.?
- Do we need to bring our own mattress, bucket, bedsheets, locks, etc.?
-if I come to hostel by Saturday or Sunday this week is it's ok! That hostel staff is not responding or not giving enough information in phone they are saying we have to come to hostel but I'm from far away
- Anything else a first-year student should know before coming with luggage?
I’m mainly looking for recent/current JNTUH student experiences, especially from students who joined in 2025 or 2026.
Thanks.
