Brief story. I had a hysterectomy. A few days later I got sick. Since my husband had a stomach bug they said it’s probably the same thing. Hold pillow against belly. Wait it out.

Well days later I wasn’t better. I ended up going to the ER. They didn’t take me seriously. Negative for flu, covid, and RSV. You have gastritis. I said something isn’t right it smells like unalive things are rotting out of me. My gyno ended up sending my stool to the lab.

CDIFF….he then sent me to a gastroenterologist who prescribed Dificid and Bentyl. Welp I’m on day 6 of the meds. I started feeling better by day 3. Day 4 no bowel movements. Day 6 I feel like crap. Diarrhea started this morning. Puked after plain white rice. Sulphur burps are at full force.

Should I be concerned? I know I am also still healing from a hysterectomy. But man this has been the worst experience of my life. I am paranoid. No one took me seriously.

Friday the 24th had surgery. Everything but my ovaries was taken by the Davinci Method. Saturday my husband started to have stomach issues. He went to his PCP got antibiotics and anti diarrhea pills. Pain was not that bad. Monday I worked from home a few hours before I needed to nap. Tuesday and Wednesday same thing. Wednesday I started feeling awful. My head hurt, arms were tingling and I felt nauseous. Thursday rolls around and puking and diarrhea started. Very low grade fever. Friday morning I call my doctors office. He is not in but his nurse said try to hold a pillow if I vomit. It sounds like a bug going around. Since your husband was sick. Let it run its course she said. I started feeling better Saturday at least my head stopped hurting but the fever finally broke. Still persistent diarrhea. Sunday I decided to try and eat. I was hungry. Had more potty issues. Wake up today and puked as soon as I woke up. My forearms are doing that tingling hurt again. I don’t know what to do. Call my PCP or call surgeons office again. Go to the hospital and say this has to stop.
I am at a loss here and sick of being sick. Each puke hurts worse than the time before. I hurt more now than I did a few days after post op.
Anyone been in this boat?
