Tellapur landlord scam
Hi everyone, I’m looking for some advice regarding a rental issue in Tellapur, Hyderabad.
My rental agreement/lease ended in July, and I have continued paying the rent, including the agreed 10% rent increase. I have also paid the security deposit and all rent/dues on time.
In my absence she has given my room to same other tenant too( in may /june2026 )
Due to a family emergency, I’m currently away from Hyderabad. The flat is locked, my belongings are still inside, and owner is asking to 2 months rent again to get away from my security deposit . I have informed the landlord that I’m planning to come back and vacate the flat by 30 September and take my belongings.
However, since July, I’ve been facing repeated pressure and harassment regarding the flat. My concern is that this pressure may be connected to the security deposit, as I’m worried about not getting it back.she has changed lock and threatening for 60 days money.
I have paid the rent and other dues and simply want to vacate peacefully, collect my belongings, and settle the security deposit fairly.
Has anyone faced a similar situation in Hyderabad/Tellapur? What is the proper way to handle this and protect my security deposit while vacating?
Any practical advice!!
