Should i deduct cleaning charges
So essentially i own a 3bhk ..i originally brought it for my mom and had it renovated ..it was a resale flat as its near by for all shops , metro bus station in walking distance and all . My mom refused to move as the watchmen was drunkard wen she came to visit after renovations she stays alone so i understood and immediately gave to rent . The problem is during summer the water shortage issue came which is not common in that area but this year it was worse . So the apartment maintenance people brought water tankers to supplement but apparently the pressure wasn't good due to which tenants weren't able to use their washing machine. They asked if they will vacate in may without any prior intimation due to this issue i agreed . But unfortunately they weren't able to get any other house during that time . Now they called and want to vacate and its already 5 days of the new month . So i refused to return this month's rent in advance . As i can't find a new tenant this urgent . The water issue is resolved more or less. Now I am not sure if i should deduct any cleaning charges i understand their discomfort but honestly the issue was out of my hand to solve . I have to again spend to deep clean house and put iit for rent..but they will vacate during middle of month . So they want me to consider returning 3/4 of rent .

Never get on rent from state government employees in Hyderabad.
I rented one flat where I lived for more than 4 years in Madhapur near D Mart.
This father and daughter duo, father working in state govt as an engineer and daughter on whose name flat is, is a IT employee. They gave flat in okayish condition. Since, I was new to city wanted to quickly shift in something good.
We quickly shifted in this flat and found out that kitchen cabinets are dirty. Cabinets were already in somewhat damaged condition and he said he will get it renewed which never happened. bathroom was not properly cleaned. We cleaned it by ourselves and didn’t complain. There fan stopped working.
He used to visit every six months and roamed around house like he is doing inspection. Used to check bathrooms.
We as a family still managed to live there as we were busy in our lives and somehow time passed by.
Now when we left, the father started calling and talking rudely that tubelight is not working, there is paint stain(where we hanged one photo). They started showing costs and all.
