bsc students,how long did the orientation take and how was it?

after the documents verification are we told abt our selection in the classroom itself??or are we informed later?

During the verification,did they ask for domicile or residential certificate??
The ones who have already gone through the verification process

The provisional merit list is out but how am I to know whether I got in or not?does everyone have to go for the verification??

I had sat for pol sci,his and eng and I wanted to know on what basis is the avg score taken out??Is it 50% from the 12th marks and the remaining 50% of the entrance or is it 20-80??

By when will the results be out?

Was the entrance question paper divided into Sec A(mcqs) and Sec B(long ans)like the history paper??or was the entire paper based on long ans??

been observing how our people are becoming increasingly hostile and unwelcoming.We constantly complain about facing racism and neglect from people in other states,but at the same time we have started becoming so prejudiced ourselves that we often fail to treat people from other places with basic respect and dignity.

I remember one incident when I was travelling in a public taxi from Siliguri to Darjeeling with a local driver and around five or six Bengali tourists.The driver started shouting at them because they took a little longer to finish their meal at Rohini.He also shouted when they opened the car door,claiming it would hit the parapet even though it was nowhere near it.One of the tourists was sitting beside the driver, and he started yelling at him too just because he was sitting too close.

We sometimes treat tourists as if they’re inferior to us, forgetting that many families are financially stable because of tourism.

We should focus on making our place better,instead of getting offended when outsiders complain.Let’s make our Darjeeling better promoting our culture and heritage.
