Completed 1 Year at B.Tech Jamia - Ask Me Anything !!

Here is some random gyaan abt college -

How are the professors here 👀

>Tbh, most of them are nice and the question they ask in endsems/sessionals are pretty much from their taught notes. However some of 'em like in Maths, Mechanical, etc will make your life horrible as they fail students for some fucking small reasons (maybe attendance issue or just cuz they don't like you).

The Campus 🎉

>Well, the campus is quite beautiful at first glance especially the other side of campus (Gate 7). You will surely love it !

Peer Group 🤔

>Alrighht, here things get a bit intresting cuz we have got a vast variety of talented peer group i would say. Some are good in sports like badminton, football, basketball, etc. some in art work... some are into coding (web dev, cp, ml, etc..). However, there will always be some ppl who don't really have any aspiration in life - Be aware of them or you will also end up being the same !!

College Fests & Events 🔥

>There are many clubs and societies around this faculty. they are responsible for happening of fests and all.. this year we saw 3-4 big events and they were really nice as stated by many (i couldn't attend unfortunately). However compared to DU, NSUT, etc, these are not really up to the mark.

Placements & Coding Culture 🔥

>This is genuinely the most asked question on this sub. See, the placements in BTech is currently far behind the stats out on the internet (In CS only, we have seen 25-27 placements out of the batch of 80 and the other branches are even worse). Placements are actually directly related to the quality of industry exposure students have and we are actually poor in that regard till now. There had been some sort of initiative by the 2025 batch for solving this actually like - Coding Council JMI^(1), Gradient JMI, etc. I will put the group link of these at last. These initiatives if led well shall surely fill the gap between industry and the college leading to a better placement stat in the near future (When 24 or 25 batch graduates).

Those joining this year, make sure to be active and interact as much as possible with the seniors helping jamia get better (Please don't just hide behind the bush)

Too much with the advices, Ask me anything you've got in mind below !!
