Am I losing personality in my handwriting?
I’ve been trying to improve my handwriting lately, and I’ve realised that my style is changing quite a lot. The first two sentences are written in my “natural” handwriting — the style I’ve been using since I was about 14 — whereas the second three were written very slowly, while trying to keep everything more consistent.
The black text was written with a regular Muji 0.5 gel pen, while the red text was written with a Pilot Kakuno F fountain pen. This is in my Hobonichi Original, so the paper is Tomoe River.
I’m trying to move towards a cleaner, more consistent “printed” style, but I’m not sure if I’m overcorrecting and losing personality in the process. Which style do you personally prefer? I would like your opinion as at the moment I don’t like either of them frankly.
(I still find fountain pens quite difficult to write with compared to gel pens, but I’ll keep practising)
