are there any good tips yall got for an incoming freshman living in a large triple dorm in college nine?

i am about to get all of my dorm stuff for next semester (mattress topper, microwave, etc.) and i am wondering what items are more useful to bring myself and what items i should ship to UCSC directly? is it worth it to ship anything to UCSC? are there any items not on the official packing list i should consider?

So i wasn’t given an enrollment appointment because I didn’t complete part of the Canvas orientation, when I did complete it. I’m calling the undergrad and DRC lines tomorrow to discuss further action. Am I cooked for classes?
