GoPro Mission 1 Pro with Luke Edwin Macro Adapter: Brown Thrasher feeding at 5:30 AM in 4K 240 fps

Backlit shot in the early morning around 5:30 AM. I love how the seed particles spread and create a temporary silhouette as the Brown Thrasher bites through the seeds. Filmed in 4K at 240 fps in GP-Log 2 with a +4 diopter strength and then graded with halation, bloom, and some subtle film grain.

GoPro Mission 1 Pro at 4K 200 fps Realtime vs Slowed Down: Brown Thrashe...

GoPro Mission 1 Pro 3rd test featuring a Brown Thrasher vs. a young Northern Cardinal at 4K 200 fps. Shot with the Luke Edwin Macro Adapter, this video compares real-time footage with slowed-down playback to showcase the camera's high-speed capabilities. Filmed in GP-Log 2 and graded with a basic conversion LUT and very subtle film grain.

My previous test was heavily backlit, and some viewers commented that it looked muddy and blurry. So, I wanted to showcase a more front-lit scene to better demonstrate the sharpness of the GoPro Mission 1 Pro and the adapter. Again, it's a really good combination for close up bird videography. For best quality viewing, view in 4K via Youtube.

I hope GoPro eventually releases its own set of diopters with even better image quality, but this combo works very well for now.

GoPro Mission 1 Pro 400 fps test with Luke Edwin Macro Adapter

Just a quick Mission 1 Pro test with the Luke Edwin Macro Diopter in open gate 4:3 at 400 fps. 400 fps is really something else. Great frame rate for birds! Shot in GP-Log 2. Upscaled to 4K via Topaz and film grain added to combat YouTube compression. I stuck a tripod right where the birds are feeding and remote viewed and recorded from the Quik app.
