Hi all!

I’ve been a trombone player for about 12 years now, and I’ve dabbled in all of the other brass instruments, but I’m finally committed to learning the french horn as a secondary instrument.

What are some quick tips you can give me to get going on my journey?

My comfortable range at the moment is from Eb2 to C5 (concert). That feels decent for how long I’ve been playing (maybe 3 months total over the course of 5 years). My articulation is bad, I still am not sure what fingerings to use (if anyone has a good chart for a double horn that would be much appreciated!), and my intonation is still all over the place.

Also what am I supposed to do with my right hand??
