Hi, i'm a First-time caregiver of a pigeon
I found a pigeon with an injured wing that could no longer fly, and I wanted to adopt it. I set up its little box and made a little home for it.
The thing is, on the 10th day, I had to move her to change the newspaper, and she pecked me a little. It didn’t leave a mark, but I feel bad—I feel like I’ve offended her.
Before that, I had been petting her on the head, and she would always rise up to be petted.
Is this normal? Should I stop petting my pigeon?
