I’m using the HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 and lately the Ngenuity app just won’t open – it instantly shows “Not Responding” and I can’t change any settings at all. I’ve already accepted that I have to deal with their software, but now it doesn’t even launch, and I’m pretty done with it.

If I switch to a different EQ app, can I still keep the spatial audio / 7.1 surround that Ngenuity provides and any features that are controlled through the HUB / base station ？

I’m fine using third‑party EQ as long as I don’t lose the main spatial audio and HUB functionality. If anyone has a setup that works well without relying on Ngenuity, I’d really appreciate the details.

Hi everyone, I recently bought the HyperX Cloud Alpha 2 wireless headset and ran into a few problems. I’d appreciate any help or advice from people who use this headset or NGENUITY.

1. Bluetooth not showing on PC My headset seems to work with my phone over Bluetooth, but my computer cannot detect it at all. This happened when NGENUITY asked me to update firmware. I wanted to connect the headset to my phone by Bluetooth and use the cable with my PC, but the PC can’t find the headset in Bluetooth search.
2. Too many audio devices after the update Before the update, I only saw Alpha 2 Chat and Alpha 2 Game in Windows sound devices. After updating, I suddenly got several new devices like:

• NGENUITY 8 Channel Spatial
• NGENUITY Chat
• NGENUITY Microphone Mix

I’m not sure which one I should use for normal gaming, movies, or voice chat. Even after turning off spatial audio, the 8-channel device still appears. After enabling the driver/software, sometimes the headset has no sound, and sometimes the microphone stops working. It feels like the software is causing more problems than solving them.

1. EQ sharing community Is there an official HyperX community or a good place where people share EQ presets for the Alpha 2? I’d also like to know what EQ settings people recommend for gaming, music, and movies.
