Has anyone bought the micra for home use (max 4-5 cups a day) and wished they bought a mini R instead? If so, why?
And for any reason if you went the other way around (mini r to a micra) let me know why?

TLDR: do you regret any of the functions that you are missing out, that comes standard at a lower price point? Any mods?
First time poster! Been doing a lot of research and stuck on a few machines DRIVE, Bianca, Mini and Micra. Currently on the breville and I’ve already spent some monies on a good grinder and I’m happy with it.
Idk how much I care for flow profiling at this moment in time. I know it’ll be easier to pull a better shot with light roast but I’m sure I can do that eventually with the LM line.
Preinfusion seems like a slight game changer in better espresso so I’m wondering if anyone can put any input into this? I believe the micra and mini doesn’t have a true preinfusion? Or atleast you gotta plumb one jn.
So everything says to spend less money and get everything with the drive or the Bianca but I keep going back to the micra or the Mini due to solely the design - I like looking at that machine. I keep convincing myself I don’t need any of the extra features cause I won’t use it lol and every time I would convince myself will I have FOMO if I get the Drive or Bianca.
Sooo do you guys feel like you’re missing out on anything with your Micra or mini? Did you do any mods?
