Extreme Pyro Experience – More Testing

This morning, was concussion mortar test day.

If you’ve ever been to a major concert or stadium show, you’ve probably felt those deep, chest thumping concussion effects. At most events, they fire only 1-2 at a time to create that instant BOOM you don’t just hear… you feel.

This year, we’re firing 6 concussion mortars simultaneously.

The goal isn’t simply to make noise. It’s to create a true Wall of Thunder that rolls across the field, adding another layer of excitement to the pyromusical.

Every effect is tested before show day to verify timing, reliability, performance and sound levels. The more we can verify now, the smoother and more consistent the show will be on July 4th.

Only a few more days to go!

Make sure to turn your volume to max! You can't feel the concussion, but you can definitely tell it hits hard!

Behind the scenes of the Extreme Pyro Experience.

Most people only see the 20 minutes of fireworks on July 4th.

This is what they don’t see!

Hundreds of hours of design, wiring, testing and programming.

Every rack is individually built and wired. Every effect is placed to music. Every cue is checked multiple times before it ever reaches the field.

This is just one side of the garage during final prep week.

It’s a lot of work, but seeing hundreds of smiles on show night makes every hour worth it.

Last year's final still one of my favorites!

These are the final 30 seconds from the 2025 Extreme Pyro Experience. The Professional Saturn Rockets building into the finale, ending with the last nuke, is still one of my favorite sequences we’ve ever fired.

Last year’s soundtrack was all about Rock & Roll.

This year, we’re taking the show in a different direction.

The 2026 Extreme Pyro Experience is a tribute to the United States of America, to the men and women who fought for our freedom, those who continue to defend it today, and to everyone who still stands proudly behind our flag.

If you thought last year’s ending was something special… just wait until you experience this year’s show.

Cobra LiPo Battery Replacement

Looking to see if anyone knows if you have to buy LiPo batteries from cobra or will one from Amazon work.

Not sure if they put there on chip in them or a work around.

Thought I would ask before ordering

Polk County July 4 Tradition Needs 10 Volunteers

🇺🇸 Polk County July 4 Tradition Needs 10 Volunteers for Echoes of 1776 🇺🇸

Hey neighbors,

I help run a volunteer-built July 4th celebration in Polk County that has been part of the community for over 30 years. This year’s theme is Echoes of 1776 (1776–2026) as we celebrate America’s 250th Anniversary.

I’m not here selling anything. We’re simply looking for 10 reliable volunteers to help the event run smoothly and safely. The entire event is volunteer-driven, and we’re all volunteers ourselves.

Volunteer Needs:

• Parking and field flow (keeping rows straight and guiding vehicles)

• Setup and breakdown (tables, chairs, signs, coolers, and general event equipment)

• Food line support (serving, restocking, and helping keep the area clean)

• General runner help (simple tasks and helping keep things on schedule)

Volunteer Appreciation:

Volunteers are part of the team, and we’ll make sure you’re taken care of with food and drinks during your shift. You’ll also get to enjoy the celebration and our award-winning fireworks show.

Time: Mostly July 4th afternoon through the fireworks show, with optional short prep help available during the week leading up to the event.

If you’re interested, reply here or send me a DM and I’ll send details on available roles and timing.

Thanks for helping keep local traditions alive

Only 2 More Trips

Employee asked if I was evacuating and reminded me there’s no hurricanes coming.

Couldn’t bring myself to explain what it was actually for, so I just told him it was for mosquito control … which technically it will help with.

😂😂😂

Fusing Girondola

I finally, after years, found a place to work a few girandolas into my show.

Now I’m pulling over and asking for directions.

Since I’m very timing focused, I removed the visco fuse and switched to sticky match with an MJG igniter.

My concern is the lead wire wrapping itself into the spinning girandola.

My current workaround idea is to drill a hole through the holder board and feed the wire through it a few times to help secure it, with the hope that it doesn’t end up tying itself around the spinning girandola during flight.

Open to ideas and feed back

Thank you
