how long should I wait to cancel a commission?? how do I even go about asking to cancel lol

Hiii guys, I'm a pickle with this person I commissioned and I want some opinions on how to go about handling it with no bad feelings I guess?

I commissioned them in February and we agreed on a price and I gave them the house so they could start. A few days later I get some progress updates, perfect but 10 days later no response so I reach out, I get told that they've been busy with exams. No problem, week later same thing and it started this consistent cycle of no response or updates and I reach out and get the same excuse of exams. I'm kind of fed up so I ask them if I could SEE and updates to it and got no response, this was 5 days ago. I've seen them online on and off since then and still nothing. They're ignoring me lol

Im completely over this, I've waited at more than a week between each of my responses and tried to give them space and not bother them but I feel like my time has been wasted..

I want to tell them I want the house back and to just cancel the commission but I'm super nonconfrontational and I feel like maybe I just need to wait longer? How should I go about this?

hellooo, i want to commission someone to build a house for me!

i'm not interested in clone builds.

my requests:

- in the toy shop house (i'll provide) not a glitch build

- pastel colors, mainly pink

- grind area big enough for 2 pets

- pet display area (i'll provide)

- themed around my favorite pets (if possible)

- cutecore but not super cluttered

I'm just putting this upfront so expectations are clear, not trying to overwhelm anyone with my wants and so we're on the same page. i can provide inspo/give more details/etc.

if you're interested in doing a commission with me please send examples of other builds you've done and your price sheets/prices!

also if you think there's a better place to post this request please lmk, i reallyyyy want a commission done for me because i'm tired of building my own houses.
