Where Do you Hangout At.
Hey,
I’m from the Greenville area, but honestly I’ve always been more of a homebody or someone who leaves town when I want to go out and have fun. Lately, I’ve been trying to connect more with the local community by going to art walks, joining book clubs, and attending different events, but I still feel like I haven’t really found my crowd yet.
So where are the child free 30+ people hanging out? And where are the more diverse spaces?
I’m Hispanic and my partner is Black, and we sometimes end up in places where we feel very out of place. Nothing wrong with predominantly white spaces at all, but sometimes the stares can get uncomfortable, especially at artsy or social events where you’d think everyone would just be there to enjoy themselves.
We’re mainly looking for bars, events, or spots with fun, welcoming people who are more relaxed and open minded. Any recommendations?
