Peaceful places to be solo in Greenville....
So I'm spending a week in Greenville just to go chill back home and I'm wondering if anyone knows of some chill places to hang out and relax by myself. Maybe some cool brewery's or a cute coffee shop. I know Greenville is CONSTANTLY changing and it's been a while since I've been back. Would love suggestions.
Anybody here got Brightspeed and your internet keep going in and out?
Are we the only one having this? Since yesterday.
Places to go to work on homework on a Sunday
Anyone know of any good spots to work on school work on a Sunday? I am an adult learner with kiddos so unfortunately Sunday is a school work day for me.
D’s Drive Thru
Did D’s close? google is saying permanently closed??
Moving help services?
So I'm going to be moving to Greenville in very early August, and I'll have some U-Haul moving pods with me. I have a couple of items that are a bit heavier, like a dresser and my mattress and the like, and I was thinking I might pay a service to help me move stuff in, I think I would only really need two people for 2 hours because it's really just the bigger items that I need help with and everything else I think I can get in on my own in one day.
Through u-haul, they estimate that for two people for 2 hours it would cost around $250. I was wondering if anyone has any experience with local moving services who might be able to do this sort of work and if there's any recommendations or if I should just go with the u-haul option?
Thanks for any tips anyone has!

Greenville leaders secure $4.5 million in state funding hoping to attract 2nd commercial airline to PGV airport
Technically, not fully secured yet. Still waiting for the governor’s signature next week.
Which airline would y’all like to see at PGV alongside American Airlines?
Greenville PD set to deploy 10 Flock Safety cameras in the city
What do we think?
Will this be something that lasts or will they disappear like the red light cameras?
Soccer scene here in Greenville?
I just moved to Greenville and I was wondering is there any soccer scene in the area?
any pick up soccer or any fields where people play regularly where I can join?
Basically I just wanna play so any kind of opportunity is good enough.
Police pulling people
In the past ten minutes, I’ve seen 3 cars pulled over by the police in the Elm/10th/14th/Greenville Blvd area.
Be careful out there!
Edit: Not Evans. Elm.
For those who do not approve of the 10 flock cameras being installed, here's a resource to fight it!
I'm sure the city council would love your opinions on the cameras at their next meeting which you can find here.
Raising Cane’s submits plans for new Greenville location
I saw this elsewhere last week, but couldn't find anything official. This is the closed Walgreens location near the intersection of Evans & Greenville Blvd. It'll be nice to not have to go on campus for Cane's now.
Community
Hi all! I’m moving to Greenville at the end of the month. I’m a 30 year old female trying to scope out how the community is for woman/people my age! I’m into nature (beach and mountains), books, anything artsy, fitness (Pilates, martial arts, yoga), games, and things like coffee shops and farmers markets. I’m not really a big drinker, and don’t go out much! I also have an active pup. All that being said, what can I expect for when I make the move?
Moving to Greenville
My partner has a job opportunity in Greenville making good money in her role as an occupational therapist. I currently work as a web content manager (get product information into systems, onto websites and launch it globally) onsite at a major tech company through a large agency. Because this specific company won’t let us work remote or outside of CA I am kind of screwed in taking the job with me.
I’ve been looking to maybe change careers or switch gears as I’m not loving my career thus far but because of my web based background it seems like it might be harder to find work within Greenville itself? I am not an engineer or developer making my career even more niche and vague.
My question is are there opportunities within the city? Or even surrounding? I read a lot about people saying it’s only medical or college related. I am looking at remote but it’s hell out there, I would be open to a career change or to try to stay in my current field for a bit and go back to school but I am a bit worried I will be completely out of luck with my background. I’m also 36 so it’s kind of middle of the road career wise to be trying to change things up. We visited Greenville and could see ourselves doing it. People were great, Dickinson was cool and so was downtown. My sister lives in Grenville and my parents are in Edenton (retired from Boston).
Just looking for the opinions of those who live around the area and any advice helps. Thank you all.
Former ECU & NFL running back Chris Johnson revealed to Good Morning America that he has been diagnosed with ALS. Sending prayers to CJ2K 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
Like, really?
Are we truly this far gone? Saw this out on NC43. This is at a church. Are evangelicals really supportive of this? We're now praying for this? (I don't pray to anything, but still)

reddit.comApartments in Greenville
Hi! My husband and I are going to be moving from Atlanta to Greenville this fall and are looking to rent an apartment until we find a house to buy. What areas/complexes should we look at and what should we avoid? We are in our mid 30s and would like to avoid the college area if possible. I’m seeing 3 bedroom apartments for under $1500 and not sure if they’re too good to be true. Thank you in advance :-)
