Fun night:)

Last night my daughters, a friend, and myself went to Fellowship Games. The place was hopping:) We went to learn Mahjong. Bit chaotic on that end but everybody was having a great time. My daughter sent me a photo of the room but since it was by the owner, I didn’t want to upload. The guy’s name is Sean and he told us they also own The Paper Plane. If you are into regular board games and hanging out, talking, drinking and I even saw a proper sandwich go by, check it out:)

Had no idea I kept this.

This was the most popular type of dress for proms in 1976 where I lived. I was a freshman but my boyfriend was a senior. It’s going back in the box now but thought I would share.

Anybody remember “Hints from Heloise”?

I used to skim this column in Good housekeeping magazine that my mother subscribed to. Then at an old bookstore I found this. Published a year after I was born.
What I really like is the introduction. It isn’t just to housewives, but to working moms, and any lady running a household. Some of the advice is actually good for today. I’ve always had a fascination for kitchenware before my time and even through numerous moves and paring down, I never could part with this book.

Anybody else?

Monroe’s favorite place is under my bed in the same spot whenever he isn’t active. I never had a dog do this before. My daughter’s chiweenie does the same but not nearly as often as Monroe.

Christmas Under Construction

I know there was talk earlier but I think it was about the name. I liked Christmas Under Construction. Will it be a repeat watch? Maybe. Felt Daniel Lissing and Jessica Lowndes did soooo much better then 10 years ago when they did A December Bride. That one was like pulling teeth. No chemistry, acting was off, just not good. Not a huge fan of either actor but as part of Christmas in July I watched two of the new movies. What did anybody else think?

Is it true?

My daughter just told me that people are saying you should read the Crescent City series before the next book??
I read the first and started the second but I just didn’t connect. Anyone here heard this?

Suddenly doesn’t like hard rain

Monroe has always had weird fears. Though this one isn’t weird, fear of a hard rain and thunderstorm just cropped up. I wrapped him up and just held him of course. I live in area infamous for storms when it does rain so this will be an interesting summer. Wondering how fireworks are going to go down……

Warning

If you have groceries or do pick up orders from the Winterville Walmart on S. Memorial Dr and had an order anywhere from 3-5(?) throw anything absorbable out. I was advised by Walmart.com to get rid of everything and I had a reimbursement in my account by this morning (7-10 days normally). A fire extinguisher exploded where orders are placed. All the bags had a faint white powdery substance on them. According to Google everything should be washed with strong soap and any boxes or open items like fruit thrown away. According to Walmart (I have Walmart+) this is going to be escalated. Anyway it is up to you of course but if anyone has pets, asthma, lung issues especially, contact Walmart.

What is June’s theme? No

If you open my page you will see there is no theme quest this morning. Friend asked me as well.

Looking at a week of rain, so Monroe decided to take cover, literally

Does anyone know where you can go to learn beginner American Mahjong?

I called the Blue Ox because they came up as a place that does, but they have some people who come every once in a while so no.
