Yall came THRU with struggling inn recommendations, and not having to sift through options myself made watching seem effortless.
But I need you to help me chase the high Villa Amore has left me on. I saw someone on another post say that the local extras make these movies perfecto, and they weren’t wrong.
What are your favorite passport to love movies!? And who is as hot as Kevin?! Cause he’s my new favorite

“The Wedding Cottage”(2023). One of my favorite movies with Brendan Penny and Erin Krakow. Remodeling a wedding cottage leads to love and romance. Did anyone else enjoy this movie as much as I did?

Christmas Under Construction.

Yeeesh. This was bad. I love the two lead actors, but this was pretty unwatchable. She was emotionally cheating on her fiancée and was pretty inappropriate. I kept thinking if the sexes were reversed we would not be rooting for him like we were supposed to do for the female lead.
They also did zero renovation except paint a wall that never showed up again. The big reveal at the end was laughable bad. The premise of therapy and renovation is a good idea though, just wish they executed it a bit better.

North to Home not on Hallmark+ ?

I wanted to watch with my mom today, but it wasn't on the Hallmark+ ... I thought every show was on it? Anyone know why?

"The Greek... Aisle"???

So, this movie doesn't take place in a foriegn foods market with a row dedicated to food from Greece.

It takes place in Corfu, which is a Greek.... Isle.

Wrong homophone.

I've seen adds for this everywhere and it's giving me a headache.

And movie reviewers haven't caught it either, apparently.

WTF?

Christmas in July movies actually set in July.

I wish they would do a Christmas in July movie actually set in July instead of pretending it is Christmas time. They could do a number of different plots in which this works - perhaps someone is moving to Australia so they wanted to experience Christmas when it is warm to see what it is like…or maybe someone is being deployed for 6 months and will miss Christmas so they have to celebrate it in July. Just set it in the month of July and make it a real Christmas in July movie :)

Hallmark+ exclusives?

I’m considering getting hallmark+ but am wondering if it is worth it. Are there any movies exclusive to it that I can’t just record on my dvr? Thanks for your help

Christmas Under Construction: Hit or Miss?

I’m halfway through Christmas Under Construction and find myself waiting to feel “invested” in this Jessica Lowndes and Daniel Lissing film like I was in yesterday’s showing of “A Christmas Bride”. The dialog between Cooper snd his city-loving partner Janice, got under my skin. And Jake’s character had me rolling my eyes constantly. I’m hoping this story gets better.

Hallmark Mysteries

Do you think that hallmark will ever do a major crossover with their mystery movies? Like combining crossword mysteries, garage sale mysteries, Hannah Swensen mysteries, and Carious Carters mysteries, Jane Mysteries?

For example,

Hannah has to bake for antique shop for some fundraiser that will have carters to serve her food and the ad for the event is in the newspaper and just perchance they need a lounge singer.

Kinda similar to how they did those big crossover on Disney Channel in the early 00’s. I think it would be so fun!! Even if it didn’t make any sense lol 😂

Alicia Witt represents Hallmark Christmas spirit for me

I'm watching Christmas Tree Lane right now. Alicia Witt has such a radiant light about her and represents the hopefulness of Christmas so incredibly well. I wish Hallmark would bring her back.

Who captures the best of Hallmark Christmas for you?

Beginning the Hallmark Journey

I have, over the years, only watched a few Hallmark movies (I think back when they were so new that there were only a few Christmas movies made a year). So I have a lot to catch up on. To that end, I would love to have a “best of” list to start with from folks. It doesn’t matter how old or what genre (romance, mystery, Christmas), but if you had to pick some of the “best” ones made, which ones would you pick and why? I’m hoping, from everyone’s suggestions, I can assemble a top 10-20 to start with.

As a note, I am currently watching some of the Aurora Teagarden series.

Edit: Thank you for all the suggestions! I am putting together a list! Please keep the suggestions coming!

This channel should've aired Ghost Whisperer

This might sound really random (and low effort, sorry if I broke that rule) but I'm suprised this channel has never aired Ghost Whisper (its a 2000s drama starring Jennifer Love Hewitt) because I really feel like it's soft yet romantic aesthetic and mysterious yet warm vibe matches the channel.

Hallmark has released their August Schedule and this includes the return of Jesse Metcalfe, Will Kemp, Aimee Teegarden, and Torrey DeVitto!

However, it is disappointing that there is such a lack of diversity!
