A magical mystery series....?

Ok, hear me out...

I LOVE the Good Witch, but I feel like once Cassie Nightingale hung up her broom (so to speak), the possibility of another magical character (and world) went with her. We get the occasional "magical" Christmas movie, or ghosts (No, I haven't forgotten Haunted Harmony! I love those films, too!), but there are so many great cozy mystery book series that have witches, psychics, or folks with other magical abilities that use them to solve crimes that I almost feel like Hallmark is missing out on a whole genre of possible films!

A few book series I would love to see as Hallmark movies are:

The Wishcrafter Mysteries by Heather Blake

The Witch City Mysteries by Carol J Perry

The Witchcraft Mysteries by Juliet Blackwell

Anyone else feel this way?

Family Practice Mysteries: Coming Home....

Ok...I'm a little confused about something. An otherwise healthy 61yo man drops dead and the Medical Examiner doesn't want to do an autopsy? And says she will only mark it down as 'natural causes' on the death certificate? And everyone around (including his family) is just cool with that?

Huh?

I'm sorry, but not even in a fictional world would this fly! If he had no known terminal illnesses and was medically cleared by his doctor, there is NO way that they wouldn't find out what he died from! You can't simply put 'natural causes' on a death certificate. And an autopsy to determine a cause of death is necessary like a medical diagnosis (ie: an aneurysm) or other determination (ie: poison) for a sudden, unattended death.

I *KNOW* it's just a fictional movie but that so silly I couldn't help myself but to come on here to vent!

*And for real world example: my dad died of a heart attack at 58 years old in an ambulance on his way to the hospital and they *still* performed an autopsy to confirm cause of death.

Homeowner policy non renewal notice

Today I received a notice from Nationwide that they are not renewing my homeowners policy after 18 years of being a customer. I've never made a single claim, and my bill has always been paid on time, I also don't live near any natural disaster zones. They listed several things that they determine needs to be repaired before they will renew it, including fixing my "sinking" roof (which looks fine, btw) to...I kid you not...repainting my window frames, because apparently that's now a liability?? I have until October 8th to show proof that I've made these repairs or they're dropping me!

I'm a single woman who lives alone and I'm already struggling with money (as are most people right now), and I hate to try to get a loan or line of credit right now to make these repairs and add another monthly bill to the pile. I love my house and I don't want to lose it, but I still have a mortgage so I need insurance!

Has this happened to anyone else recently?

Any advice?

How good is the Aldi brand Kombucha?

I love Kombucha but it's pricey! I noticed Aldi has what looks to be their own brand for only $1.99 a bottle (not the GTS brand). I usually get the Wegmans Kombucha in Mango Turmeric flavor, but I feel like it doesn't taste the same anymore.

Has anyone tried the Aldi ones? Any favorite flavors?

How do you stay present every day off the mat?

Let me start by saying that I've always been a little clumsy, and slightly daffy. I've never been the most graceful person in the room! Lol. However, lately I've been much worse. Clumsy to the point that I tripped and fell and hurt my shoulder while walking my dog, and "flightier" than usual in my day-to-day life... dropping things, spilling things, making mistakes....

I'm not sure if it's stress in my life (who isn't?), my hormones as I enter peri-menopause, or if I'm just generally not being mindful because I'm thinking of other things? I meditate and do yoga daily, but it's not translating beyond the mat.

So my question is, how do you stay present during your every day life? How do stay out of your head when doing your every day tasks? Do you take any supplements or changed your diet to help?

I'm desperate for a solution!🙏

Tags don't work?

I still like posting some of my pictures on Pinterest but I can hardly ever tag them because the 'tag' section is useless! It doesn't allow you to create your own tags, but it never seems to have the appropriate tag for what I want.

WHY can't I tag the word 'beach' or just 'summer' without it being 'summer dress' or 'summer nails?? 🙄

Central library parking question

I want to go to the Central Library downtown but I don't know about the parking situation. Is there a parking lot or is it all street parking? Is there a charge?

TIA!

Good sources on YouTube to learn more?

Let me explain... I was trying to find a way to make my own rose hip seed oil...because I love it but it's pricey...and I found a video on YT with a '1+2= Rosehip seed oil. It's so easy!' -type recipe. It had over 100,000 views, and it looked like a good place to start. But then, just below it in the suggested videos, was a video simply titled 'You're Not Making Rosehip Seed Oil'. I watched that only to discover that 'Oops!' Nope. That's not possible to do at home without expensive equipment and Oprah Winfrey's rose garden worth of rosehips.' The woman who made it was a certified Herbalist, and so, of course, I subscribed to her channel (The first channel seemed like one of those homesteader-type family vlogs).

So, I'm wondering are there other good reputable Herbalists on YT to learn from? I don't have a specific space of study, anything from medicinal to homemade skincare/beauty is fine.

Trouble making new playlists

I recently updated the app and now I can't create new playlists! I can add songs to an existing playlist, but not make new ones. When I hit the 'save' button, my playlist list pops up, but when I hit the '+' button to (I assume) create a new playlist, literally nothing happens. Nothing comes up, it just goes back to the song.

It used to say 'create new playlist' when you hit the save button but that's no longer there.

Anyone else having this problem, or know a solution?
