Where do you guys eat after night shifts?
For people who work nights and get off in the morning…where do you eat when there is no food at home?

I messed up. I wrote a progress note yesterday that was never cosigned by my attending that day. I mistakenly started editing that note for my new note today not realizing it wasn’t today’s note since I usually copy forward anyways. Anyways, I had to change that note to today’s date since I edited it for today’s prog note anyways & my attending was asking for it but now I have a missing note from yesterday. Can I just make a new one and date it for yesterday?
The fact that I see the majority of people cheering her on for the way she spoke to Priya is so gross. She needs to worry about her son’s 100 woman body count instead of Priya.
Priya was nothing but honest and direct with him. She doesn’t owe any man anything just because he makes her coffee. And she definitely isn’t obligated to like any man just because he shows interest.
I’m so icked out by people’s reaction to this.
I love Priya and Aiden together. They know how to laugh!!!
I miss OG Love Island!!! I’m so sick of the constant gloominess
I’m surprised more people don’t have this take because it was my first thought when I saw her “crash out” on movie night while Priya (who actually got the worst of it on movie night) watched her silently while no one comforted her.
I really do think Jasmine is a masterclass game player. Which isn’t a bad thing - she’s clearly here to win. Saying this as an Indian girl before anyone accuses me of racism lmao.
It’s to the point where it’s immediately a red flag to me if someone says that term.
Also “she’s not a girl’s girl” is just used as a way to ostracize other girls when they don’t conform to the herd or do what they deem is socially acceptable.
EX: Jasmin calling Priya “not a girl’s girl” just for talking to Kavan even though she spoke to her about it directly after and never hid it. But she was cheering on Mica when she and Samraj were sneaking around behind Priya’s back.
They always bring up that apparently Priya “moved weird” with Jasmine in the beginning. So lets go back in time and look at the examples they love to use!
Counter: All she said was that Jasmine wasn’t interested in Lorenzo, which she only said because Jasmine HERSELF said to her.
Counter: She was actually very non-confrontational about it, just clearly caught off guard & slightly annoyed (as she should be). Jasmine encouraged her to get to know Lorenzo, telling her they weren’t compatible and then completely did a 180 right after Priya kissed him (which she said was serious for her). She probably wouldn’t have kissed him if they had been more direct about their feelings to her. I don’t blame her for being blindsided and I think she should have been more upset than she was.
Counter: Priya *spoke* to Kavan once - as one does on Love Island. She also directly asked Jasmine how she felt about it and then backed off once she realized how Jasmine felt. Jasmine, on the hand, reacted like a high schooler and immediately started bashing Priya as “not a girl’s girl” without even talking to her about it and then pretended it never happened right after her conversation with Priya.
It’s so upsetting to see people defending how Priya was treated by everyone by bringing up these examples where she didn’t even do anything wrong?? I don’t hate Jasmine but I can’t understand the constant need to defend her from consequences when Priya was getting TORN APART just a couple weeks ago for much less.
I just saw a post on here from a guy claiming to be Indian (likely a lie) and claiming that he saw 100s of H1B fraud cases in Raleigh despite the fact that he lives in Europe based on his post history.
There is literally a trend of Europeans and Canadians going on random American city subreddits LARPing as American and making inflammatory posts with the intention of stoking anti-Indian racism. I saw one from a Canadian on the Charlotte subreddit not so long ago.
I genuinely can’t understand how people are justifying Lola, Jasmine, Simmba, and miss pyramid scheme girlie Yasmin basically ganging up on Priya for kissing a guy she is in a couple with who she has kissed before and has made it clear she’s very interested in from the start.
I was watching this interaction with my jaw on the floor because it was so unhinged and unwarranted. I wish Priya had defended herself harder.
God, I really can’t stand these girls and their boring, made up, HYPOCRITICAL rules about who can kiss who and who can chat with who. What show do you think you’re on??
Not to mention that most of these girls were giggling when Mica was sneaking around with Samraj behind Priya’s back. Did that not break your unspoken girl’s code?
As an Indian woman, I’m actually raging. It felt insanely triggering to watch because it just reminded me of the condescending, microaggressive way white women have felt comfortable speaking to me. Priya is better than me because I would have lost my mind if they had tried to pull that bs with me.
I’m American and have been watching this season with other American friends and EVERYONE seemed to love Priya from the start. We just appreciate how blunt, no filter, confident, and funny she is while being able to move past slights against her by the other Islanders quickly without taking it too much to heart.
I’ve been shocked to find out how much the British public seems to dislike her?? From our perspective, she’s easily one of the more interesting people in the villa and one of the few people actually doing what Love Island intends and making the rounds.
It’s just interesting that all the bits that we found very funny and charming from her are considered egotistical by much of the public?
I’m American but this is my first time watching Love Island USA. I usually watch Love Island UK and I’m kinda surprised at the differences.
For all the stereotypes about Americans vs Brits, the cast on UK are so much more fun & more charismatic? They also seem to have better chemistry together overall. Whereas, the USA cast are significantly more formal & self-conscious with each other despite how more sexually explicit the show is.
It might be the editing on USA because everything is made more dramatic and drawn out.…like 20 minutes straight of dramatic closeups to the point where I can fast forward and still not have missed anything of significance. Maybe they just aren’t showing the banter and the chemistry because they’re focused on gamifying everything?
Another thing I don’t get is how the American cast seems to find everything cringe/awkward….things that the UK cast would just brush over and move past.
I’m kind of sad I can’t get into it as an American because I really want to join in on the watch parties everyone is doing.
Is this a cultural thing or is it just the format of the USA version? Has it been like this in every season or is it just this season’s cast that is kind of boring?
My PCP used an incorrect billing code for some labs which led my insurance to not cover them. I contacted them repeatedly asking them to correct the error but they never did even though they said they would. I was sent to collections by LabCorp. The bill is under $500 but I am unable to pay as I am a student.
What are my options right now?

I highly recommend Of Memory and Starlight. It is truly one of the most well-written and thoughtful Hermione-centric time travel fics I’ve ever read.
It is Hermione/Sirius, which is a pairing I like as a concept but I think it’s rarely ever done well. It is done VERY WELL here. Nowhere near as corny as The Debt of Time and significantly better written. The Marauders in this one are very nuanced and thoughtfully depicted.
It is currently in progress and the author seems to be updating regularly. Please check it out! I would love if this one had more readers.
By the way - I am NOT the author. Just a reader who really wants this fic and others like it to gain more traction!
When I left OC for another state a few years ago, teenagers and people in their 20s would just wear sweatpants EVERYWHERE.
I came back recently and went to the spectrum and I feel every girl was wearing tank/halter tops and low rise baggy jeans. Is this the new look now? What’s popular with young men these days?
No particular reason for asking, I’m just curious about the difference in fashion trends between here and the south (where I was).
I have been so put off by how over the past decade this right wing Hindu nationalism has seemed to take over Hinduism. All of the constant Modi campaigning from Indian immigrants, marching with bulldozer symbols during religious events, the stories about immigrants perpetuating casteism, the obsession with public rituals (dumping statues in rivers, dressing up as deities for public marches, etc.).
I never saw such overt, loud to the point of being vulgar displays of religious piety from Hindus growing up here. My parents and everyone I knew always either practiced their devotion quietly at home or at the temple. I never heard of these public religious (and clearly pro-BJP) marches happening when I was younger. This all feels relatively new.
It’s really leaving a bad taste in my mouth with how so much of how the Indian diaspora (now) practices Hinduism seems to be associated with Hindutva and political campaigning now. There is this strange obsession with big public rituals over actually serving the community now.
I have a friend who is at the Erie campus and who wants to apply to a competitive specialty but I’m genuinely shocked at how little she knows about the application process and what she needs to match. She says the school doesn’t provide any guidance at all (which could very well be the case since it’s a DO school) but I’m still surprised that she wouldn’t know that she needs research or know what case reports are.
The lighting, the brightness, the saturation. I have no idea what I’m doing :/
