I nver really see this mentioned - certainly not on the show itself - but Fitzy plays intercounty Gaelic Football in Ireland, which means:

- he's played an All Ireland final in front of a crowd of 80,000

- he's considered an elite athlete by playing for a big county like Galway, Gaelic is pretty much the most popular sport here

- all his games would be televised nationally and the big ones watched by millions, even though it's an amateur sport

The amount of guys who go on the show who say they're footballers and make it their whole personality - but then it turns out they play in like the 20th tier of English football.

Just interesting but given it's a different sport - only really played in Ireland - I think it's getting lost in translation and not easily accessible to bring up.

I’m sorry but what was that. This is actually embarrassing at this point. She misrepresents Priya’s conversation to the others, saying she “came on smoke” (she didn’t at all, she actually came for a 1 on 1 chat with Jasmine, and Jasmine made Lorenzo stay).

She also has repeatedly said she’s over Lorenzo, she’s tired of it, she’d had enough, she’s deading it, even encouraged Priya to go for him because they’re more suited and compatible, all to change her mind the minute Lorenzo shows a toxic attitude of liking when he makes Jasmine jealous.

Jasmine had a fit over Lorenzo not talking about her enough on the dates with the bombshells but somehow can’t fathom why Priya would be upset and confused that right after their kiss Lorenzo is now making a tonne more effort with Jasmine despite being told by all parties involved that it’s not going anywhere. Like, obviously Priya is annoyed and confused. She said nothing wrong in that interaction at all and Jasmine was hella bitchy. She’s giving bird energy atp, after Lorenzo has ignored you, called you promiscuous, a sassy bitch and boring and you’re still giving him the time of day 😭.

It’s my fault for believing her fake “standing on business” persona. She’s NOT ever stood on business and now she’s giving mean girl energy.

Never EVER trust the quite ones. Sam is on smoke. Kissed Victoria great. He's grafting putting in a shift. Then instantly moves to Namibia wtf. I didn't like that at all. Saying he wished it was her? Why not take her to the terrace then? Someone called him a fake plastic nice guy. I was like nah he's a good guy. Hope he fumbles them both.

I’m so sick of the following dialogues:

It’s the same Q&A’s in every couple, they’re like carbon copies of each other.

I’m a girl so I watch the show because of the girls. One thing I’ve noticed throughout my years as a love island watcher, is how boring the women always are. This season we have people like Robyn and Yasmine and Ellie who have a personality, but the others (including the bombshell) have nothing. I’m not expecting these girls to jump from wall to wall but when a guy asks you a question about yourself, don’t be so nonchalant and give one word answers. It’s especially annoying when in their introductions they’ll describe themselves as really energetic,bubbly/extroverted. All for them to be talking like Kim k for the next 6+ weeks. If I was a guy on this show I would just give up cause these girls are absolutely beautiful but have nothing else to offer.

I actually feel like the producers are listening? We've gotten more Lola and Sean time, a bit more of Angelista with the girls, showing her personality a bit more, the twist was fun.

People were also talking really negatively about the cast but I think they're pretty great? They all seem like they actually like each other. They communicate- conflict isn't coming from bullshit miscommunication, it's coming from actual feelings and relationships conflicting which is significantly more entertaining.

The only person I'm not keen on is Aiden but all the other boys seem pretty decent, which is jarring for a love island cast.

The girls do over react a bit but I always cut a bit of slack there, you're trapped in a house with a bunch of strangers 24 hours a day with no outside entertainment, it's shocking that they don't go fully insane.

Daily Discussion Thread

Ofc every feeling is valid. But it seems like, it's only been a few days and the girls are just really pulling the men up on every little thing. They aren't letting them organically fall in love, but microanalysing what they're doing and getting upset when it's not how they want it.

I feel like love is a process, and they are all single and it just takes time and they are expecting everything instant.

Getting down the boys throats so early is pushing them away. And I write this as a girl. They're giving the power over to the guys, when they are in control of themselves and what they can elicit from others due to positive energy. No one can make you feel bad apart from yourself.

I honestly think lorenzo is really funny? Especially after the unseen bits on Saturday, I don’t usually watch unseen bits, but i needed clarification on if I’m damaged or if I think he’s really funny an he is but all over this sub I’m seeing everyone hates him an thinks he’s boring😭? I’m from Bedfordshire so maybe it’s just our banter but i think the things he comes out with are so awkwardly funny

They better have the cream of the crop lined up. I want bomb shells. Real fit men. Chat, banter, the whole Package. I'm talking Adam Collard, Davide, Opie, Jax if they had twin brothers. They better not disappoint. I find the men get the hot bomb shells. Were left with usually nut shells 😆 🤣

I feel for Yas regarding her most recent chat with Ellie… I believe that she was genuine in being relieved to see Ellie walk back in (even if for semi selfish reasons of being resolved of guilt). She really was put in a hard position of having to force a girl out and seems very affected by having to hurt someone. Ellie is right in her feelings as well though, it’s definitely a “everything sucks” situation but Aiden should step in and support Yas a bit more imo. She and Ellie are both leagues above Aiden

Just to clarify I'm a black watcher! Think her time is over, well I hope it is. I really didn't understand her reaction to watching Ope. Crying over someone your not interested in? I feel like were missing something. They were clearly just settling as the token black couple. I just saw friendship vibes, which is fine. Her overall manner is quite subdued, reserved slow burner. Were prepared for the yearly humiliation ritual. I think seeing tears this early on was to much for me. Get her out for her own mh. My teenage daughter even said why do black girls go on ! ugh i love her so much, she deserves so much better PLS MEN BOMBSHELLS. originally i didn’t think she was into ope but i think the proximity built something which quickly broke after ope had shown his intentions.

he is so arrogant it’s unbelievable 😭😭 like why is he so against giving women compliments. also i don’t think he is into priya, i think he is into jasmine but she doesn’t chase and that’s the issue. however after seeing unseen bits i do think lorenzo would be good with ellie, they just get along and are always laughing.
