My UFS boots make me supinate
Hi I just got some UFR boots. I’ve been skating for a while now and just wanted to see what ufs felt like because I heard it rode closer to the ground.
I put them on and after a few turns and some carving I noticed that getting to my outside edge was a lot easier than normal. I looked down and my skates were leaning slightly on the outside edge. Supinating.
I thought it was my imagination at first and tried just skating around to see if it would go away, but it didn’t. It was slight, but I could really feel the difference.
To make sure I wasn’t just in my own head I threw my old pair on and went along the same route and just as I thought, I was leaning more into my inside edges now.
I had been compensating for the supination by resting more towards the inside of the skate.
Should I return these UFR skates or is this just how UFS mounting skates ride? More to the outside edge?
Thanks for reading all of this!
