Anyone lost weight on this diet while already overweight

I’m 32 year old male. I weigh 98-101kg and am 6’2

I am in and feel stuck in an absolutely terrible binge cycle right now where I drink coffee, restrict foods and get really hungry resulting in ingestion of high energy processed foods. Am feeling llke shit. I’ve done carnivore and animal based before. I do like carnivore but I didnt do it properly. I ate way too much protein and not enough fat, resulting in poor sleep and no energy.

I want to do carnivore again, however find this very challenging during the winter. My body CRAVES carbohydrates during this time. I also play sports 2-3x a week. Should I commence an animal based diet at my current height and weight? Will I lose weight eating fruit and meat? And what about dairy? I’ll usually have yoghurt bowls with fruit and honey but I feel dairy may not be the best for me, especially low quality yoghurt.

if anyone has been in my position, please let me know. I don’t want to continue gaining weight or start calorie counting

What differences did you guys notice when you went higher fat

did carnivore for 3 months and felt tired to the point where I couldn’t get through a workout. walking to the gym was enough. terrible sleep and felt emotionally numb. realized I wasn’t eating high fat carnivore.. like 80% high fat carnivore.

thinking of going back to give it the high fat carnivore a go. but keen to hear what everyone else experienced when they upped the fat
