I always thought that little notch on the first half of her blade was ugly and made no sense but it’s actually what she uses to defend herself. It helps her parry/defend against incoming attacks.
It’s pretty cool that the top of her sword is offensive and the bottom is defensive.
Made by Tengouk the fuckin goat

His absolute desperateness to protect Tanjiro despite fighting one hell of an uphill battle will always be legendary.
I feel like Doma noting kanao’s eyes and making an effort to destroy them puts her perception above shinobus. Especially because Doma did no such thing for Shinobu.
And no the akaza fight isn’t better.
Some are peak but shits getting old.
For me: Nakime T1 inverse (combat proficiency)
Slamming your blade into a giant metal flail just to add force behind it 🥀 this not dulling his blade at all meanwhile tanjiros gets fucked up by dakis obis is nuts.
I get the technique arg but tell me what the proper technique is for slamming a blade into a giant metal ball.

Arbitrarily English ≠ Arbitrarily Japanese
Hint: >!if tanjiro on this list he’d be with gyomei if Aoi was on this list she’d be unranked!<
For some reason there’s a common misconception that when someone claims a characters holding back people start to think that means: Character A is only using 50% of his stats against character B. (Holding back stats) and while this is one way a character can hold back like Kokushibo being shown to hold back his movement speed. It can also mean a plethora of other things:
Rest time: giving Character B vital rest time when by all known metrics if character A pressed them they’d be dead (multiple fights)
Openings: Being deliberately shown that Character A doesn’t attack in openings in Character B’s defense (Akaza v Rengoku)
Ulterior motives: When the direct motive of Character A is something other than DIRECTLY killing Character B (Tokito v Kokushibo)
Lack of techniques: Character A directly withholding techniques that are more powerful then their regular attacks (doma v Shinobu)
Information gathering: Character A trying to gain information on Character B that couldn’t be gained in character B’s death. (Akaza v Giyu)
Not moving: Character A deliberately shown to not be moving against character B and instead continue to attack or defend from a single spot (LSK v Hashira)
As you can see there’s Multiple other ways characters can hold back that doesn’t involve suppressing their physical stats, don’t make the assumption that when someone says another character is holding back it automatically means they’re only using 80-50-30% of their stats.
The OG’s might know what’s coming tho 😼
