Are you all simply just ungrateful? We’ve finally gotten a fairly good show trailer, and you guys won’t stop shut up over how much you hate the VA’s, bouncing, and the engines not having much weight. I haven’t seen a single person mention the new landscape and scenery, new character models having proper paint details and grime to make them look like real steam engines, comebacks of old locations and items, smaller details like people giving the engines maintenance and the new rails, and the new lighting.

The engines not being very weighty barely was an issue in the trailer. Heck, we see Thomas getting dragged back by trucks in the trailer. You know what that means? They have weight.

Sure, the bouncing is a bit annoying, but it doesn’t appear in all the scenes, and were you really all expecting it to be gone? We knew it would be here since the February test animation, and the bouncing’s been here since 2017. 9 years. Obviously it’s not going anywhere

And yes, while the child VA’s are a bit jarring compared to what everyone’s used to, but Thomas has had child voice actors for 5 years now. Not to mention the fact nearly every other children’s show has child actors now, and considering children are the TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC, it makes sense they would go the route of other children’s shows and give the mains kid VA’s.

But no, you expect Mattel to cater to your every need because what? You bought some merch? You watched the show as well? Obviously they acknowledge you and even brought back old characters like BoCo and Stepney. But no, you just disregard all of that over 3 things.

TLDR: some fans except Mattel to cater to their every need despite the fact Thomas & Friends still needs to be a functioning and successful children’s show.

Edit: Also I forgot to mention we got THE STROUDLEY 4 WHEEL COACHES BACK. Like, what? I mean, Annie & Clarabel sure, but we got the actual coaches in 3 different liveries, an orange, a red, and a green. That’s pretty damn cool.

Based on what we’ve seen, since Toby & BoCo have both been shown to swap which side their face is on, it only makes sense that Toby could swap his face to be on the inside of his wooden bodyshell during colder winter nights for that little bit of extra warmth. This also means that somewhere out there, a Toby with a round face exists.

Also just imagine how horrifying this must’ve been for Thomas & Percy finding this out for the first time

There were 4. Clarence (98462), Crovan (87546), Alled Greedy (the large red engine), and Eagle (the smaller red engine).

General Background - in 1922, The GNR, NER, and GCR learned of the grouping act. To get the then still TW&SR to merge with them into the LNER, they decided to loan 4 engines for 10 years, plus give them Gordon, a non-standard A1 prototype, for free. This, obviously, didn’t work, and in 1923, after absorbing the S&M’s old branchlines, infrastructure, and leftover engines, the TW&SR became the NWR.

Clarence - an NER S3, built in 1921. He didn’t have a name officially, but chose it after overhearing talk of the Duke of Clarence (1449), and thought it was a suitable name for an engine of his kind. (Little did he know how that Duke ended up). He, along with Crovan, were sent away early, in 1924, for being absolutely insufferable. He would later be bought and saved from the scrap heap in 1974, during quite a large increase of loco purchases in that decade. After seeing how he really was in other’s eyes after being withdrawn worthlessly in 1965, he reformed. During those 9 years, him and Crovan were less worried about names and prestige and more not getting picked for scrapping next. He would have Clarence officially made his name when restored. He’s number 40.

Crovan - a GCR 8C, built in 1904. He also didn’t have a name, and didn’t gain one until later on. He prided himself on being a prototype, for the later GCR 8F (not an actual 8F, just the GCR’s classification system). Him and Clarence basically created an echo chamber for each other.

He and Clarence were very buddy-buddy, and would always belittle everyone around them. Crovan would also be sent away in 1924 with Clarence, leading to James’ purchase. Along side Clarence, he would be saved from scrap in 1974, and after restoration, in 1975, be given the name Crovan, after Crovan’s Gate. He’s number 41.

Alled Greedy - a GCR 8F. Unlike his prototype, Alled Greedy was a quieter engine. He wouldn’t belittle engines like Edward, Henry, or Thomas, but he wouldn’t stand up for them either. Alled would finish out his full loan and go back to the LNER in 1932. He would also be bought from the scrap yard, in 1969. He’s number 29.

Eagle - a FR K1. He worked with Edward on the Furness for a while before Edward ended up on Sodor, and since Edward was designed to be a better K1, he would often be either belittled or bragged to by Edward. Of course, since Edward ended up being a shy steamer, it didn’t last for long. He was bought in 1923, and numbered 15. He works on the Brendam Branch, alongside Edward, BoCo, Colin, Lily, and Adam.

Hi. I’m new here, and needed to be able to talk somewhere. Mine and my brother’s guinea pig, who we named Sugar, has been sick for the past 2 days, with nothing we could do. She’s been sitting in the dark corner of her cage, rarely eating or drinking. She’s been in major pain for these 2 days, and earlier yesterday we went to take her to the vet. They prescribed 3 medicines and a specific meal once a day. Later that day, despite the medication making her much better for a good 3 hours, where we spent most of that time with her, after those 3 hours she wasn’t able to move, and would lay on her side as we sat next to her, not even being able to pet her because of how much it hurt her. She was an amazing little pig, and was always very active and feisty, so seeing her like this really broke mine and my family’s hearts. We’ve don’t everything we can do for her, placing multiple foods and water next to her, leaving the AC going so she doesn’t overheat, but she passed just about an hour ago. We’ll forever cherish and miss you Sugar. You were the best guinea pig life could offer.

Update to my last post. In March of 2025 I organized all my TWR pieces. Thought I’d show them off to compliment my other collection of trains.

This guy is calling Jews criminals and saying his main acc got suspended because Reddit’s “protecting criminals.” Apparently he’s also a Nazi. I dunno I just thought I should share this. His main is u/DoughDeath78

Title basically says it all. I finally organized my main collection (Tony, Minis, and Capsule Plarail aren’t here bc they’re stored in a different place)

Me and u/LaoLaoDreamland were having an argument over their D-Side Thomas. I won’t get into specifics, but I called it bad and they said it was because of the art style and that he was still a tank engine, and they ended up laying about their age and watching Thomas on Nick Jr, and I called the, out in it, and eventually they challenged me to make my own D-Side Thomas. It’s just a recolor with some modifications, but that’s fine, as D-Side art isn’t meant to change the entire look of the character. Mine is on the left (first image) and theirs is on the right (second image). Who’s is better? Go check out the argument on my profile. It’s pretty funny.

It didn’t work out for Tommy. The Jamey’s have kidnapped him against his will.
