Blood Dove or Lonesome Meridian
Like Odysseus and Ulysses. It was hiding in plain sight all along.

Saw this online, looks like it was published last week.
If anyone has read this, they are certainly lurking here! Tell me what you think.
I think at least we have a brand-new Holden image for the memes. But I would love to know more about the book.
One of the most persistent discussions on this forum is about whether Holden or the Kid was the child-killer.
One piece of evidence often brought up concerns a 'big handprint' found on a victim; Holden having small hands, and the Kid having big hands.
In all my readings of Blood Meridian, I have not been able to find the 'big handprint' in that book.
However, that big handprint reference is present in Samuel Chamberlain's My Confession:
>The second in command, now left in charge of the camp, was a man of gigantic size called “Judge” Holden of Texas. Who or what he was no one knew but a cooler blooded villain never went unhung; he stood six feet six in his moccasins, had a large fleshy frame, a dull tallow colored face destitute of hair and all expression. His desires was blood and women, and terrible stories were circulated in camp of horrid crimes committed by him when bearing another name, in the Cherokee nation and Texas; and before we left Frontreras a little girl of ten years was found in the chapperal, foully violated and murdered. The mark of a huge hand on her little throat pointed him out as the ravisher as no other man had such a hand, but though all suspected, no one charged him with the crime.
I am asking here for your help in quoting Blood Meridian where it shows a big handprint on a victim.
This could settle the debate once and for all!
Lurk here and you’ll see plenty of posts asserting that the Judge is the devil, satan, lucifer, etc., some sort of immortal, evil power.
Plenty of passages can lead you that way, to be honest.
My take is that Holden is just a (mostly) successful grifter.
He gets his way from bluffing and tricks - not from “evil powers.”
Some of his deceptions:
It's all part of a broader theme – most characters here are deceptive.
Some other examples:
Holden’s grifts are just more serious, more competent, and more grave.
For a 19^(th) century illiterate – such as the “halfwitted killer from Missouri” or dozens of others mentioned – Holden could come across as a scary devil. But those halfwits are just falling for the grift!
Don’t fall for the grift, readers. He’s just bluffing.
Play any of these songs now, nearly 40 years later.
Whitesnake comes out on top.
Back in the day (2017) it was like in the photo, just dragged out in front of everyone.
Now they clear all the behaving passengers out first before dragging the targeted one.
PROPOSAL: just clear the rows in front of the rager, maybe around them, and let all the people in the back of the plane just chill.
(and film).
Could save a lot of time.
Lots of people talk about how "Bring the Noise" was so innovative. But this one came out four years prior!
It's also a lot more fun. UTFO was so hilarious.
