MI's bowling has to be the priority going forward

MI's bowling has to be the priority going forward

If we don't fix our bowling, we ain't winning anything. No matter how much we strengthen the batting, if we don't have the right bowling combo, we simply won't compete.

Out of the last 5 seasons, if you remove the 2025 season, our bowling has been way below par in the other 4. No right combination, constant changes, overly relying on bumrah, and not enough proper complementary bowlers.

The main USP of MI used to be our pace heavy attack. We used to have bowlers who could win games on their own. That edge just isn't there anymore.

And this is where I think MI need to be smart in the auction. Don't just keep adding another big-name batter because the batting looks good on paper. We need bowlers who give us variety powerplay wickets, middle-over control, death bowling, and someone who can actually support bumrah instead of putting all the pressure on him.

You can reach the playoffs with a stacked batting lineup, but you don't win a competition like that. Batters can win you games, bowlers win you trophies**.**

If MI gets the bowling right, this team can be dangerous. If not, we'll just keep repeating the same cycle strong batting, questionable bowling, and another season falling short.

MI is gaining nothing from this trade.

Dube and Khaleel aren’t players MI need or even really needed in the first place, while CSK has everything to gain. It would be pretty stupid to hand that kind of advantage to your biggest rival.

MI need a marquee player they can retain going into the next cycle. dube isn’t that guy his ceiling is pretty low and his game is very one dimensional, which MI clearly don’t need after how the last season went. khaleel is a bang average IPL bowler too. He’s fine as a backup option, but definitely not someone you want as your first choice.

Hardik Trade Could Fix Multiple Issues

If Hardik is getting traded, which I think he will, MI shouldn’t be taking an L in the deal. The practical move is Axar. We’ve never really replaced Krunal, and that balance has been missing for years. Axar fixes a lot of problems not flashy, just smart and reliable. Plus he’s Indian, so the core stays intact for the next mega auction.

That also lets us play two overseas pacers, which is the way to go. GT are a great example of how much quality fast bowlers can elevate a team. We can’t keep relying on Bumrah to do everything.

Trading to Csk Unlikely Until n unless They Offered Mhatre. LSG, DC, KKR will Be in Consideration With LSG Has Higher Chance of Pooran with a Fast Bowler. May Be There Will be an Eye on RR too For That Jaiswal Situation. Assuming Out Of The Box Consideration PBKS!

not even a rant, it’s just getting spammed everywhere. i get the criticism avg captaincy, too defensive at times, and his own performance nowhere near his best. fair enough. but ppl are ignoring the other side too. our batting vs spin has been poor naman is the only one playing it effortlessly, sky to an extent with the sweep, that’s it. overall lack of intent as a collective. and even bowling hasn’t helped boult and chahar both had a big drop in form from what you expect from your firstchoice guys. end of the day, the team has been a collective failure. so yeah criticism is valid, but dumping everything on one guy ain’t the full picture. whatever hate/abuse/rant ppl wanna do, just keep it there in one place. would make things way cleaner and less repetitive.
