What are the best status ailments + combos to inflict enemies with?
New player here, sorry to bother you guys again.
In P5R, I remember there being some pretty nasty combos you could do by inflicting certain ailments to enemies and then hitting them with certain spells or attack types.
Things seem to work a bit differently in P3R, so I'm trying to decide what are the best effects to keep on hand and what, if anything, to use in combination with them?
To be clear I'm talking about things like Distress, Fear, Dizzy, etc.
Thanks for your answers.
Episode Aigis/DLC Pass?
Hey all, I'm currently on my first playthrough of P3R. Really loving the game and don't want to miss anything major.
Does the DLC/Expansion Pass add anything to the base game like a playable character? Or is it purely post-game stuff? It's a little expensive so I don't want to buy it unless it'll have a significant impact on the gameplay/story, or if I decide I'm still interested after my playthrough (assuming it's just post-game). Thank you!
Help locating a more laid back "walkthrough?"
Hey everyone, sorry if these types of posts are annoying. I am trying to play P3R for the first time (I played a bit of it a few months ago, but I got terribly busy with work so I had to stop for a while, going to restart from scratch since I wasn't too far).
I noticed that there's a popular 100% walkthrough, and that's what I was using last time... but for my preferences it was a little too strict. It really made the game feel like more of a chore for me. I remember when I played P5R, there were actually two versions of a walkthrough, one was just for more of a "see pretty much everything important but without needing every single achievement possible." ← This is the kind of guide I'm looking for, for P3R, but I'm having a hell of a time finding one.
Every guide I've found so far is a 100% trophy and achievement guide, or more of just a "beginner's tips" thing which I don't need. I'm looking for something more in between.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a more laid back walkthrough that still walks you through the schedule system, but without needing you to grind huge amounts of currency just to see 1 line of extra dialogue before x-date? Thanks!
Crit Rate is massively overrated in this game, simply not worth devoting 2-3 weapon slots to.
The reason is simple: dealing damage is not a problem in Crimson Desert's late-game at all. With 0 Crit Rate and Level 7-10 weapons/gear, you will be literally melting bosses/killing them in 2-3 Turning Slashes, max, especially with Flame Imbue.
Drop Crit Rate all together and stop listening to guides that tell you to use it.
Grab a 'Plate' chest that has 3 Abyss Gear Slots and drop Spirit Regen, Stam Regen, and Damage Reduction (or anything else) on it – resource generation will be your best friend in every combat/non-combat situation.
In place of "Crit Rate" necklaces and boots/gloves, just grab Plate Boots/Gloves and an 11 Attack Necklace. This is because boots/gloves with Crit Rate only apply when fighting with boots/gloves (aka unarmed). Plate Boots/Gloves will simply give you more defense, while losing nothing if you're not using a "Crit Build."
Only use the Kuku Flame/Frost Armors when you need them for the specific environment (of which there is only 1-2, since even in the Crimson Desert, a single cloak with Fire Resist is enough).
In place of Crit Rate, aim for 11 Attack Speed. Reason being it's easy to get, has a noticeable effect, and works on Boots + Gloves without needing to use up your weapon slots.
Slot whatever "unique" Abyss gears (ex: Crow's Pursuit) you like for their extra damage/utility onto your weapons. If you want a little extra damage, drop a single Attack 3 into your weapon. Also make sure you're using Infinite Arrows on bows, preferably with a 100% chance to refund arrows.
Profit.
^(I understand that some people *want* to do the maximum possible damage. If that is the case for you, that's fine! Crit Rate is for you. We all play games how we want/like to play them. The point of this thread is not to shame anyone for how they're playing, it's to advise people that despite what literally every "guide" will tell you, Critical Rate is not necessary at all, and that you'll *likely* get a better experience by using unique Abyss Gears with cool effects rather than being min/maxy.) ^(And since most "Crit Rate" builds require using the Kuku Flame Resistant Armor, you'd also be losing 3 Abyss Gear slots which can be used for resource generation: which is always useful.)
Context: I was pointing out the reputational damage Naughtydog did with their own players thanks to the story of TLOU2. Little did I know, the guy who replied to me/who I was speaking to was a Senior Designer at Naughtydog, and for their upcoming game Intergalactic. He claims their reputation "soared" with everyone except bigots and sexists thanks to TLOU2.
Are you guys bigots and sexists? It really sounds like he thinks you're all bigots and sexists.
