Hey all - wondering if I need to rebook a flight due to decreased layover time.

Original flight had me landing at LAX around 5pm for a connecting flight to Auckland at 11:35pm. There was about 5 hours of time in the layover.

Flight changed. Now I'm landing at LAX at 9:08 and the departing flight to AKL is still 11:35pm.

I've got two kids in tow and now I'm worried that there isn't enough time to deplane and get to the next gate (which I can't tell if it'll be in T4 or TBIT). Do I rebook a different departing portion to give myself more time?

The AA lady on the phone said that 2.5 hours is plenty of time.
