CHLO Shirt found in the wild - Charity Shop Finds!

Hello everyone! Scored a great item today at the charity shop, a CHLO in dark green! Found some shoes once (too big) but never thought I would find clothing in my little charity shop. I need to find my fellow Sézane lover 😂

What are your best finds thrifting/charity shopping?

Archives Haul Fail - Dealing with Postpartum Body Changes

Hello everyone!

As you can see in the title, this haul is a bit of a fail. Not because of Sézane (or except for one item - my nemesis) but I think I am still struggling with my postpartum body and being a bit more curvy than I used to (and I am not even really curvy). I need to take a step back on more fitted items for the moment and focus on items I will feel good in now.

I am holding myself accountable, no more fitted or short dresses! It is not my season, it will come back but right now it doesn’t make me feel good! Maybe a cute embroidered shirt as I don’t have one yet ⭐️

Sorry for this little personal rant and on to the haul:

- Jumper Gary in M: Love love love, super cute jumper which can be worn more chilled or even for work with navy work trousers. I like it more oversized so sized up which I do a lot with knit wear. Keep

- Christie Jacket in 36 and Martin Crop in 38 both in Peony: the idea of this coord is amazing but the execution is poor. Fabric is beautiful, both in linen but the fit… Christie is okay as a classic oversized blazer BUT Martin Crop are so badly cut. They say to size up if in between sizes but the waist is huge and I guarantee a size smaller my hips would not fit. They are also not cropped, I am 173 cm and they arrive at my ankle, not a flattering angle at all. Colour could be more vibrant as well. If the trousers were well tailored, I would have kept the set. Return

- Millie Dress in 36 in Fuschia: The dress is the same colour as the coord (with different names?!). It is beautiful but I am not confident to wear it. It is very fitted and the straps are removable. It is a me problem on this one. Return

- Numo Dress in 36 in Olive Green: Really lovely dress, nice material but the olive green is too yellow on me. The colour doesn’t suit me and I look a bit sick. Would look beautiful if you have the right skin tone. Return

As I said not a successful haul but I made the wrong choices, I will take a step back from these types of items. Thanks ⭐️

Non Essential Basics - Your “Do NOT buy” list

Hello everyone!

Love reading posts about your capsule wardrobe. It got me thinking about basics and essential. Many of us have spent years hoping someone would just tell us what to buy but it never works!

Therefore, here is my list of items I refuse to buy despite being told they are basics. I would love to know yours !

Little Black Dress: Nope, I hate black on me except turtle necks! LBD never worked and I have bought many across the years.

A pair of heels: same as the black dress, you are supposed to buy them once and be done. I bought some and never wore them. I replaced that with a pair of fancy flats and wedged espadrilles. No high heels in my closet!

A night bag: got a lovely leather from the French brand Rouje, it looked lovely… in my closet 🤣 I don’t need a fancy bag, I don’t have fancy events to go to!

Summer dresses: Where I live it is cold most of the year, yes I would love a linen Reformation dress to wear once year on a hot day, but not worth the investment!

Blazer: it is a tough as I have blazers but they are fun ones and not basic black/white/navy. They are more of a statement piece.

Leather jacket: looks amazing on others but not for me!

Share yours and let’s stop hoping for a magical list ⭐️

It wasn’t even worth it! End if the Bob saga + Divia Dress

Hello everyone!

Received my bob order today … and I look ridiculous! The hat itself is cute and if you can pull it off, it would look great. Just not on me! My head is too big and I am not stylish enough.

I am also now convinced, they gave two bobs (the boat one and mine) and people can sending it fir refunds 🤣

Also got the Divia Dress in Alicante and it is a beautiful dress! Formfitting but not too much, a bit short but okay. I won’t be keeping it as I won’t wear it enough where I live and my day to day life 😭 Beautiful dress wrong season of life!

Worth it though if you live somewhere warm and just walk around in flats. The dress reminds more of the French brand Rouje, a bit more “sexy”

Archives Act II Haul (Dress and Workwear)

Hello everyone!

Can’t wait to see what you got and to find WHO got the Gaspard in Yellow Size S 🤔

Big haul for my standards but as I am in Europe I can return items.

- Gary: Saw it on here and the lovely poster said it was her favourite so I got influenced!

- Millie in Fushia: this dress looks good online and as the summer is a bit cold here hope it works!

- a Peony set with cropped trousers and jacket: hope it looks good as a little treat for my return to work (post-pregnancy). It will either be a 100% keep and straight back to Sézane 😅

- Numa in Olive Green: high hope for this dress as I love this compo in Sézane dress!

Will report back ⭐️

Try on Archives Haul

Hello everyone!

Will do my best to share my recent purchases from the Archives:

- Ruben Cardi - Size M: Lovely cardigan and on paper exactly what I am looking for … however I am not whooed by it. It is thin and the colour is more beige than off white. I feel I can get a similar one in a charity shop. I think it looks great but can’t say I want to wear it so I will return it 🫣

- Marylis Cardi/Jumper in Pink Creation and size M: It is a bit too oversized and maybe the colour is not my best (more of a bright pink) but I really really like it! It feels special and something that will really have an impact on my winter wardrobe. I can wear it with a dress or on top of a thin turtleneck for an extra layer. There is something about it ⭐️

- Kylie Cardi in size L and Fuschia: It is too short and also nothing special. The colour is not vibrant enough and feels tight. It could work on a petite frame with thin arms. Return 🛑

Hope it helps and for anyone wanting the Ruben, one will be back in stock at some point!

I got banned from a second hand shopping app and my relationship with clothes changed

Sorry a bit of story time!

A few weeks ago, I got banned from a famous second hand shopping app (they accused me of reselling fake shoes which were not faked but AI said so!). Anyway, at first I felt truly awful as if something really bad happened to me. I was moody for a couple of days and thinking of al the bargains I was missing on…

Yes, I had addictive behaviour towards the app. As if not getting a good deal on a random T-shirt was terrible.

Then, I decided to donate the clothes that were on the site for sale. No point keeping them and while I make “loose” a bit of cash they were just clutter.

But more interestingly, I also kept a few items that I was originally selling. My lack of access to cheap items meant I now wanted to keep some items and see if really they were that bad.

It is slowly changing my mindset, I still love a bargain but want to take things slower. I don’t have a huge wardrobe (probably capsule wardrobe number wise) but yet I have more enough clothes. I still want to get good things as I am not perfect and enjoys shopping but my dopamine levels seem to stabilise. No more rush of adrenaline seeing a good deal and getting it… to resell it 1 month later.

Overconsumption and second hand truly can be hand in hand, I just never realised it. So thank you Vinted for the ban 🤣

WE DID IT!

YES YES YES

Thank you everyone for your support, I could not have done without you. This project was not the work of one person, we all did it together. I would also like to thank my mother who has always believed in me. (Not that I have my Oscar’s speech ready 😆)

I am humble to announce that I have purchased THE bob. I will report back if mine has also a boat right in the middle or if I look like a clown wearing it. Very likely but at least I would have tried it!

Also got a cute dress to try as I don’t have many. Hey why not?!

Stay Away from my Bob!

Light hearted - who keeps buying this hat so quickly that I can’t get it! I see it restocked and it is immediately gone.

Stay away from this hat! It is mine 😈

Favourite Sézane Items (not the typical ones!)

Hello everyone!

Thank you for posting all your fantastic outfits, while I am not brave enough yet for that I thought the archives were a good time to share my favourite items.

I am tall with a long torso, so the typical Betty doesn’t work on me! The holy grail for so many is just awful on me 😭 (it looks amazing on so many of you!!)

So here is my personal selection:

- Sean Cardigan: LOVE LOVE LOVE I wear every week, it such a staple in my wardrobe. It is long enough, warm enough and so versatile.

- Emilio Trousers: this version is in wool and just beautiful. They have a bit of stretch and are the perfect “white” winter trouser. If you like cropped trousers, I recommend +++

- Eli Scarf: a more “trendy” item and expensive but I wear it a lot, it looks great and bring something fresh to my classic coats!

- Meryl Dress: I have it in two colours and love them both. I wear the navy all year round and perfect again for work and evening dos.

- Emmanuelle Dress: My summer dress, I love it. It is long enough on me and just feels high quality.

- Ninon Jumper: Very short so I had to size up but such a beautiful colour and so so so warm!

- Bilma Shirt: New addition and really like it, it is long and boxy but I love that in the summer. The camel stripes are lovely and I bought it in the sales and with a £15 discount so perfect for £35!

I have more in my closet 🫣 but these are my favourite pieces! Please share your “unusual” favourite Sézane pieces ⭐️

Public Service Announcement - Meryl Dress

Hello!

Saw that both Meryl dresses are on sale and at a good price, I have both and can confirm they are AMAZING! They are cinched at the waist (beautifully cut) and very flattering, I feel so good wearing them.

The only downside is that they are wool or cotton mix, so more a fall/spring dress rather than summer. For where I live it is perfect.

Don’t sleep on them!

Yes I bought them full price 😭
