Google Voice Issue

A large number of had our goggle voice accounts suspended today for no apparent reason. We keep posting about it on the Google Voice sub and it keeps getting taken down. Do we know what is going on with GV? Many of us like me have used it for 15+ years and have never seen something like this.

Question for SNHU adjuncts

I have a question for any fellow SNHU adjuncts. We have 6 sessions a year and can teach up to two classes per semester. They say there is a cap, though, of 10 classes per year since we are all part-time.

My question is this: Do you find they stick to the 10 classes a year cap? I have taught here for 4 years now. Year one, I was figuring it out, so I taught much less than 10. Year two, I taught 2 classes each session, so 12 total, with nothing said. Last year, I had a whole session off, meaning I only got 10. This year, it felt like I would only get 10, but I was given a course rescue and a late-add class that gives me 12 again. It feels like 10 is the max unless they really need you. What is your experience?

Question about PhD vs Doctorate

Good morning,

I was seeking some advice from people who have already made these choices and are probably smarter than me. The short version of my story is that I am a police officer with retirement on the horizon. My state offers us full retirement at 55, and I am currently 48. I have a BS in Education and Psychology and an MS in Criminal Justice. I am currently an adjunct in criminal justice for an online university, and before I went into law enforcement, I was a teacher in the school system.

Adjuncting is good for side money, but after I retire, I would like to be able to get hired on full-time somewhere. I am not looking for a high-level research position or a prestigious school; I am fine with community college and online-level institutions.

I explain all that to ask this: Should I be looking for a PhD in Criminal Justice program or a Doctorate of Criminal Justice (DCJ)? I will have to take classes online and work full-time while in school. I am told a DCJ would be easier while working full-time, but is a PhD required for my goals? All advice is appreciated. Thank you.
