Why is my almost 10 year old son dropping leaves and some rotting?
Electric went from $50 to 130. So we have been running the ac at night till it hits 70, then we turn it off. He has been in his new pot for about 3 months and has been enjoying it very much. He’s growing more leaves every day. But recently I’ve noticed he’s dropping some of the fully green leaves not the new growth. So far it’s been about three leaves total in a month. We are in Virginia right now and I’m worried about him. I’ve noticed two leaves rotting on him. I immediately gently twisted them off as to prevent the rot from spreading. I water him maybe once every two weeks and mist him every morning.
He’s a very sentimental plant. He has been with me and my fiance since we first met and now we will soon be getting married. He’s like our son. Been with us since the beginning.
