Can someone explain to me the meaning of this line? In Take a Break, Eliza says 'John Adams spends the summer with his family.' because she wants Hamilton to go upstate, but then Hamilton says 'John Adams doesn't have a real job anyway.' I don't get the joke here.

Is it just me or is the FMC always weaker or the MMC is always the stronger, more capable one? I'm looking for books where the FMC can actually fend for herself without the MMC helping.

I haven't read a really good 'best friends to lovers' book in so long, and since all the recent books I've read were enemies to lovers, (don't get me wrong - those are really great too) I'm wondering if anyone has a recommendation for a really great 'best friends to lovers' book

I've been told that this book (and The Prisoner's Throne) by Holly Black aren't as good as The Cruel Prince series. Can anyone tell me their thoughts on these two books?
