PMP Complete, now for PMI-ACP. What's the difference in difficulty?

I passed my PMP yesterday. Now, I want to prepare for the PMI-ACP, while I still have this streak.

For those who took the PMP and PMI-ACP, what was the difference in difficulty on the real exam? Any insight is appreciated. How long did you prepare? How long of a gap between the PMP and PMI-ACP?

Study Materials I own:

  1. Udemy: Andrew Ramdayal's PMI-ACP Exam Prep

  2. Book: PMI-ACP Exam Prep by Mike Griffiths

Passed PMP Today - Pearson VUE Made a HUGE Difference.- T/T/AT

I took my exam today and finished with 1 minute to spare. Finally passed! It’s over with & it’s such a huge relief, especially with the new exam right around the corner on July 9.

The first two times I took the exam, I took it at home. This time, I took it at Pearson VUE. It was a MASSIVE difference, and I honestly wish I had done it there the first time, I just couldn't ever find appointments.

Taking the exam on-site with a 24-inch monitor instead of using a 14-inch laptop at home, feeling like a prisoner who can’t even read with his lips because the proctor might ping you, was night and day. I highly recommend taking it at Pearson VUE instead of at home if you can.

As far as study materials go, I used Andrew Ramdayal’s book & read it front to back. I watched Andrew’s 50 Mindset Principles three times and took notes with a pen and notebook. I also used Andrew’s Udemy PMP Exam Cram Course 35 hr course condensed. On top of that, I used Study Hall and completed all the mini exams and all five practice exams, scoring above 70%.

As far as the actual exam is concerned, I’d say my first two attempts felt relatively more difficult compared to this 3rd attempt. The questions seriously seemed harder the first two times. This time around, the questions felt much more similar to Study Hall, with only one drag and drop.

The main thing that got me was the length! 4 hours really had me fighting to stay focused. Bring food, eat snacks during your breaks, and sip on some tea or coffee. I found that helped me a lot.

I’m super ecstatic that this is finally over with. Now I can breathe and move on to my other certs.

Now I’m just waiting for the email so I can officially update my LinkedIn.

Sphinx Exam Complete, a week later...

I had a phone screening interview last week with a recruiter. I am not Epic certified, but have just under 10 years of adjacent experience. Before the hospital is willing to sponsor me, they told me to take the Sphinx exam.

I took the Sphinx exam last Wednesday, June 17 (today is June 24). I don't think I did bad, but maybe good enough to proceed, but who really knows with these things

I haven't heard back yet, it's been a week. I know a lot of folks are out on vacation because of the Juneteenth long weekend and I haven't seen the recruiter online on Linkedln (I've been checking daily, maybe every few hours).

I'm guessing the following and have the following question:

  1. Recruiter is on vacation
  2. They'll review sphinx scores and coordinate interviews in batches rather than individually
  3. I did horribly and they ghosted (application status is still under review).
  4. How long does it take for the Sphinx scores to be released and recruiters to get back to a candidate?

Any helptul comments are appreciated, thank you guys.

NJ Residents, any luck?

I live in Northern NJ, but work in NYC (for you native New Yorkers, sorry, but not sorry. I'm still applying, deal with it). I'm aware winning is a long shot and NYC residents have priority, but have any NJ residents won the lottery? If so, how long did it take?
