METALLICA-Ride the Lightning.Spinning the MFN 27 original. There's a certain time machine in these old grooves.

Found this 1984 Music for Nations pressing of Ride the Lightning.
The top sleeve has a minor split from its past life,
but honestly, none of that matters.
The moment the needle drops,
the modern digital world completely fades away.
The sound wave is incredibly thick—Cliff’s distorted bass and Lars’ heavy, raw acoustic punch hit straight to the gut in a way no modern CD or compressed streaming master ever could.
It’s alive.
Music is a beautiful, powerful thing.
It saves us, heals us, and has this strange magic to pull you right back into the exact moment and place you first discovered it.
Decades pass, lives change,
but the soul trapped in these grooves never ages.
Just sitting here, letting this masterpiece wash over me.
Cheers from Japan.

Spinning a masterpiece. METALLICA - Master of Puppets,40 years later and it still kicks just as hard.

There’s nothing quite like dropping the needle on Master of Puppets.

From 'Battery' to 'Damage, Inc.', it’s a flawless ride.

How does this rank in your top Metallica albums?

Angel Dust - Into the Dark Past (1986 OG Disaster Records) Still sounds incredibly sharp!!

Here is another 80s speed metal grail from my collection.1986 OG West Germany copy.

Spin of the night : Agent Steel - Skeptics Apocalypse(1985)Pure US Power/Speed Metal perfection

Finally spinning this absolute masterpiece tonight.

John Cyriis’ vocals on this album are absolutely out of this world—pure alien speed metal energy from start to finish.

The artwork, the inner sleeve collage, and that classic Roadrunner/Combat vibe just hit different on vinyl.

What’s your favorite track off this one?

For me, it’s got to be "Bleed for the Godz"!

Spinning an absolute classic on Metal Blade:SLAYER - Show No Mercy(1983)

Total thrash metal history on the turntable right now.

Legendary riffs, insane energy, and a timeless masterpiece.

A holy grail of 80's Japanese Thrash Metal:CASBAH - Russian Roulette 7"(1986)

Spinning one of the absolute masterpieces of the early Japanese underground scene. Raw, incredibly fast, and full of intense energy.

Pure old school thrash excellence!

Any other fans of classic J-thrash here?

RIOT - THUNDERSTEEL Johnny the cyborg tank warrior is on the turntable

The cover art might be beautifully cheesy 80s sci-fi, but the music inside is some of the tightest and heaviest speed metal ever recorded. Total classic.

Spinning the legendary MFN 60 UK original tonight.Sounds absolutely massive!METALLICA-Master of Puppets

Been listening to metal for 37 years,

and this specific Music For Nations pressing remains the absolute benchmark for me.

The raw guitar tone and the deep low end on this vinyl are unmatched by any modern remaster.

Just a masterclass in thrash metal history.

Time to let the turntable do the talking.

Doom - Go Mad Yourself! Blasting this 1986 Explosion Records original 7" EP tonight. Love the "Not For Sale" joke on the regular label.

Dropping the needle on a piece of 80s Japanese underground history.

This is the 1986 original 7" EP of Go Mad Yourself! on Explosion Records (EXP-HM-101017).

What's hilarious about this release is that the regular commercial pressing has

"NOT FOR SALE / FOR FUNCLUB ONLY" printed right on the white label as a joke.

The music itself is pure, avant-garde thrash madness.

The late Koh Morota’s fretless bass lines are absolutely nuts, creating a foggy and crushing low-end that modern digital formats just can't replicate.

The title track "Go Mad Yourself" is a total brain-melter.

Cheers from Japan.

Doom - No More Pain. Spinning the 1987 Explosion Records original tonight, complete with the legendary promo flexi-disc.

Picked up this absolute masterpiece of Japanese progressive thrash/hardcore history.
This is the 1987 original pressing on Explosion Records (EXP-HM283024), and yes, it still has the ultra-rare, single-sided bonus flexi-disc intact.
The late Koh Morota’s fretless bass lines on this album are pure, avant-garde madness.
It feels like a dark, psychedelic trip that hits you at 100mph.
Modern remasters just can’t replicate the raw, foggy,
but crushing low-end of this original vinyl mix.
To me, this flexi is a piece of sacred history.
Decades pass, but this specific era of the Japanese underground will never be topped.Cheers from Japan.

CASBAH - Demo1992(swan song)

This is the final installment of my CASBAH demo tape series!

Following "Infinite Pain" (1987), "Demo '89" (Bulldog), and the "94 Demo",

the grand finale of this series is Demo 1992 (commonly known as the "Swan Song" demo).

Here is a shot of the back cover, with the band lineup of the era clearly printed on it.

This is my third favorite piece in my collection, and it holds a truly special place in my heart.

Thank you so much for following along with my CASBAH journey!

CASBAH - 『MARCH OF THE FINAL DECADE 94』

Sharing a very rare piece from my collection today.

An original 1994 demo tape by the Japanese thrash metal band CASBAH.

It includes the tracks "Impure", "March of the Final Decade", and "Gun Crazy".

The packaging and artwork are beautifully raw, capturing the exact energy of the 90s underground scene.

For fans of old-school Japanese thrash and tape trading culture, this one is special.

Thank you for taking a look.

JURASSIC JADE - 『GORE』(1989 Original Pressing)

Sharing another piece from my 80s Japanese metal collection.

This is the 1989 original pressing of "GORE" by Jurassic Jade.

It’s a fantastic, raw example of the classic Japanese underground scene from that era.

Has anyone else here listened to this album?

Let me know your thoughts.

Casbah - Demo '89 (Rare 1989 Demo Tape from Japanese Thrash Metal Icons)

Pulling out an absolute underground gem from the late 80s Japanese metal scene today.

This is the original 1989 self-released demo tape by CASBAH (Catalog No. CAS-001).

By 1989, Casbah had evolved from their raw, chaotic early days into an absolute riff-machine.

This tape captures them at the peak of the golden era of Japanese Thrash Metal, delivering incredible speed and tighter, more technical aggression that could easily rival the Bay Area scene.

Finding one of these original self-distributed tapes in such beautiful condition with the iconic monster artwork intact is a miracle even here in Japan.

Pure 1980s tape-trading history right here.

Any old-school thrashers or extreme metal fans in the sub remember this legendary band?

Outrage - Black Clouds (1988 Original Japanese Press in shrink with hype sticker)

Checking out one of the absolute pillars of 80s Japanese Thrash Metal today.

This is OUTRAGE's debut full-length album "Black Clouds" released in 1988 on Polydor Japan.

Back then, the Japanese heavy metal magazine "BURRN!" (pictured below) featured them with the headline:

"The Japanese Heavy Tank that makes you forget the distance to the rest of the world."

And they weren’t lying.

Their sound was just as heavy, fast, and aggressive as the Bay Area thrash scene,

but with that unique Japanese intensity.

Super happy to have this copy in pristine condition with the original hype sticker still on the shrink. Anyone else here into 80s J-Thrash like Outrage, Doom?

This is CASBAH legendary "Infinite Pain"demo from 1987.

Pure raw energy from start to finish.

Anyone else into classic Japanese thrash?

What's your favorite track?
