I forgot how sick this record is.
I saw them a couple of times around the time this one came out. One of VA’s finest.
Suffocation - Breeding The Spawn (Roadrunner, 1993 Brazilian press)
Fake Dust - Decrepitizing Din Of The Cerebral Psyopticon
[Now Spinning] Iron Firmament - In The Land of Pre-Human Kings
Pungent Stench - Pungent Stench
Going back to my childhood.
VinylKing Records
I stumbled on great spot for heavy vinyl in northern NJ this past weekend. VinylKing Records had an insane collection of death, black, sludge and heavy metal- along with first pressings, signed copies and special editions from some of the most influential names in rock/metal. I couldn’t help but grab a few goodies while I was there. Sepultura’s box set (Roadrunner Albums), Obituary’s Dying of Everything and Indian’s From All Purity (a personal grail for me). Big shout out to the owner Bruce who’s a true old school metalhead (who probably won’t see this because he’s not on any social media). If you’re near or passing through Lake Hopatcong in Sussex County, this is a must see.
I checked with the mods before posting this to make sure it was within the rules. To be clear, I am not the owner and do not have any affiliation with the shop. Hoping to see more posts calling out metal specific shops around the country to keep the dream alive.
Vinyl Tracking
Good day, folks!
I know many of you have become pretty damned frustrated with the current state of the Discogs app, and it pushed me to a decision to build my own app that utilizes the APIs from Discogs for collection tracking. Another driving force, for me, anyway, is that I have multiple locations throughout my house where my records are stored, and it gets tiring trying to track where my records are actually located. To that end, I've been building an app over the last few weeks, and am starting to look for testers, and suggestions on additional features.
What say you? What kind of suggestions do you all have?
ETA: It seems like a lot of people are being hyper-critical and not really providing anything meaningful, merely excessively negative responses. I apologize if I seem defensive, but this has become a bit of a pet project that I'm very, very protective of. That's why I came here, to ask what features you users would like, or would be most likely to use. It's not a replacement for Discogs, merely a complementary application that can make our lives easier in the end.
Agoraphobic Nosebleed - Arc
ANb channels their inner EHG...
A radical departure from their normal drum machine gun grind. Scott puts down some killer Bower style riffs. Kat absolutely kills her vocal performance and the drum programming is indistinguishable from a live drummer.
The only knock is that it's too short and it's the last ANb project to feature Kat.
In Flames - The Jester Race/Black Ash Inheritance Webstore Exclusive 1/500
Excited this finally showed up. Jester Race White/Orange Sunburst vinyl with the 10” Black Ash Inheritance bundled with it. Only 500 out there and I’m happy to have one to listen to.
Living in the states, it seems like we were made to wait for this one to get sent out to us.
Still no updates or ETA on the copy I ordered from Nuclear Blast.
