I know this album is getting spammed everywhere, but my copy finally showed up lol.

Just scored all three off fb marketplace for $80! ÆNIMA and 10,000 Days are bootlegs (obviously lol) but Lateralus is the legit European pressing. Listening to ÆNIMA as I put this post together and it sounds great, so I call it a win.

Technics SL-1200 MK2 that I've owned for over 25 years, with an Ortofon Red stylus/cartridge combo through a Schiit Loki Mini+, into a Sony STR-DH190 and out through a pair of JBL 4412As. Going to upgrade to an Ortofon Blue next month and still looking for someone local to go through my Kenwood KA-7100 or Pioneer SA-7700. Unless I find a better vintage amp or decide to pull the trigger on something newer and better than the Sony. Haven't decided which way to go yet.

I've never cared much for picture discs or other gimmicky pressings, but I had to have this one since *FMtS* is one of my all time favorites. I wasn't expecting much in terms of audio quality but it actually sounds pretty good, though it's so thick I had to adjust the height of my tonearm a bit lol.

I work nights, so my wife puts our daughter to bed without me most of the week. Consequently, our daughter only wants her mom when it comes down to bedtime on the weekends. Last night she fell asleep in my arms for the first time since she was just a few months old.

Finally got my hands on one of my grails; Church of Vinyl gatefold, 482/500!

This album introduced me to Post Rock and broadened my sonic horizons in such a profound way. 20+ years after first hearing it, I finally got it on vinyl and it sounds amazing! Happy Friday, y'all.
