Explosions in the Sky - The Earth is Not a Cold Dead Place

This album introduced me to Post Rock and broadened my sonic horizons in such a profound way. 20+ years after first hearing it, I finally got it on vinyl and it sounds amazing! Happy Friday, y'all.

De La Soul - 3 Feet High and Rising

Was digging through the collection I inherited from my oldest brother and discovered this first pressing! In over a thousand LPs, this is the only Hip Hop record he had.

Between the Buried and Me - Colors II

Been a fan of BTBAM since the *Alaska* days but after *The Great Misdirect*, I lost track of them for a while. Recently been trying to catch up with them and discovered *Colors II*. Holy shit this album is amazing, practically been on repeat the last 3 weeks.

Gojira - From Mars to Sirius

Heard this for the first time in early '06 and it honestly didn't do much for me at the time. But the friend who showed it to me had always had good taste and knew what I liked, so a short while later I gave it another try. It finally clicked and has been one of my all-time favorites ever since. Hard to believe 20 years have gone by, a lifetime by some metrics...

Finally got it on vinyl and it sounds killer. Happy Sunday, you filthy animals🤘

Black Flag - My War (1st Pressing)

This album is part of a huge collection that I inherited from my oldest brother. His tastes were super eclectic, so his collection was very diverse. But it's mostly early Punk, Hardcore and 2nd Wave Ska. He definitely helped shape my own taste in music growing up and I can't help but think about him when I spin one of his old records.

RIP Gusty, you are so missed.

Finally snagged The Venture Bros OST Volumes 2 & 3. Was pleasantly surprised to see Vol. 3 was a cool translucent pressing (no descriptions I've read mentioned this). Just need to get my hands on Volume 1, but that may be a while unless they do a re-press. Cheapest copy I can currently find for sale is over $200 US 😢

Go Team Venture✌️

Got this at the local Spencer's not too long after *10,000 Days* released. A friend was working there and told me they had just come in (there were black & blue messenger bags with the same design as well). She put this one aside for me and marked it as a clearance item, then she used her employee discount when I paid for it. Took it home for like $15!

Unfortunately, the zippers don't work very well anymore and the inner liner has been flaking off for years. Otherwise, best backpack I've ever owned. If only I could find something half as cool and well made to replace it with lol.

EDIT: Welp, y'all have convinced me to find someone to repair it, so I think that's what I'm gonna do. Thanks everyone!
