SHADES OF BLUE-MADLIB

Picked this up yesterday after work. I listened all the way through twice, before dinner and after dinner. It was hard not to put it back on this morning at 5am.

If you’ve heard this and Jazzmataz by Guru, do they compare? Which one do you prefer?

Any idea who's signature on the cypress hill album?

IV had this in my collection for 20 plus years and as I was playing it today for the first time in ages I noticed the signature.

It doesn't look like b real, sen dogg or muggs.

Plus I find it strange to be on the record and not the sleeve

I'm not selling it just wondering if anyone knows any info on it

Cheers

Peacski wiski...

I've been waiting on this mail call with peak anticipation. Outkast isnone of my favorite bands across all of music. I've been very disappointed with the modern pressings of their stuff I've heard. I've seen strong reviews on these VMP editions so I'm looking forward to putting them to the test!

Boldy James & Real Bad Man: Adu Trilogy

Finally received my copy of Adu 3. Boldy just works so damn well with Real Bad Man. All 6 albums have been incredible. But these Adu EPs make for a perfect trilogy.

For the actual record, Adu 3 sounds fucking amazing. It's insane how much bass RBM got into this press. I think 1 is still my favorite but 3 easily tops 2. All in all, a fantastic run of music that will be in rotation for the foreseeable future!

Caught up with Anderson.Paak in Chicago! It was his first time seeing the Malibu box set!

I caught up with Andy @ Wax Bar in Chicago this past Sunday after the Bruno Mars show @ Soldier Field! I just missed him the night before at the same place for trumpeter Mobetta Brown's afterparty! Thank you Mo and my homie Jason Stern for pulling that event together and introducing me to Andy! Big up to DJ Lee Farmer, his wife and the whole staff at Wax Bar for hosting us! I gotta whole long story about this I'll share soon!

But even bigger shout out to the man Anderson.Paak for asking for my feedback on the boxset (no inner sleeves. Uh oh!) But also for also taking the time to sign almost my whole collection and tell stories. That signature on Divine Feminine is epic ! I've been trying to catch him for years so I am in eternal gratitude for the moment! Big up to my guys DJ K-Max and Deron Powell for holding me down on this adventure!

The Wizrd Vinyl

So I’ve been looking for this on vinyl, specifically this orange and purple split variant, which came with a 2nd signed sleeve, for SO long as The Wizrd is one of in my opinion his most underrated projects and one of my favorites of his. In his top 5 for me for sure. But anyway I was able to just recently come up on this for an absolute STEAL as since I’ve been following it I’ve only seen it at prices I was just not willing to pay. Ended up picking it up for $100 shipped brand new still sealed since it’s release in 2019, only thing is I could tell the person wasn’t into records like that. Fast forward to receiving the record it wasn't shipped in a record mailer but in a standard bubble envelope im shocked there wasn’t significant damage. But anyway I opened the record from the plastic wrap, which I can tell was never tampered with or anything, but the records itself felt like no other record I’ve ever felt in my life. In the run-in blank wax at the outer edge of the record it is raised. Like a lifted surface that you can feel. Everything else is fine but does anyone have this variant in particular?? Can you confirm if the record was just made like this or is this a sign of some kind of damage from storage or anything?? You may not be able to tell in the pictures, does anyone have this record?

One of the coolest and best rap projects I have on vinyl. Bouta listen to Adu 3 and see how the final one is. Gonna be spinning these for my grandchildren one day

Tangible Dream

Another pre-order that came in. Oddisee is a fav of mine. Could be some local bias, but coppin’ this was a no-brainer for me.

Is it a hot take that I think DiCaprio 2 is JIDs best album?

This arrived via post earlier this morning. Absolutely love this album, to me has no skips and I like it more than his other albums. Although, Forever Story is quality too.
