Psy100 exam

Can any people who took this course and did well on the exam tell me how they studied ? I am almost finished reading all of the chapters, but not sure if I will do good on the exam, as dax’s mcs are usually tough. Thanks!

To all 1st year incoming students. Honest review

When I got admitted I had no one to advise me, so here we go….

ENG101- with Natasha is a bird course and it is very fun and engaging. Attendance was mandatory. No final exam. Only bad thing it was super early 9-10 or 11. 4/5. GradeA+

ENG110- with Natasha this one is not birdy for sure as it is an English requirement. It has a lot of reading and understanding. Lectures are fun the professor is so sweet and engaging and she is willing to help ALWAYS! def recommend. Attendance was optional but you do need to go if you want a good grade. 4/5. Grade A-

UTM 118- with Sheliza ibrahim. She is super chill but the lecture is 2 hours long, boring, and late 5-7. Optional attendance I think. There was a final presentation super easy though. No final exam. Course is birdy but the TA marks VERY harsh. 2.5/5. Grade A

ISP100- with batcharya. No test no final exam. It was on a friday 12-3. It was long boring but birdy and easy to get an A. 2/5

SOC100- inconnte and baker. Lectures are fun and engaging, test are fairly easy if you READ the book. There was a writing assignment where most people did poorly on, I heard. You need to read the textbook if you want to succeed in it! 4/5. Grade A-

ANT102- with Victor Barac. Course avrg C-, nobody knew what was going on. Worst course ever, it was very very tough to understand, course goes by very fast, material is very hard to learn. There’s a textbook that I couldn’t tell you what it was about. Midterm was terrible and prof had to curve the grades. 1.5/5. Grade A+

WRI173- Josh. Terrible course as well, the course layout itself is very easy, barely any deadlines. HOWEVER, the prof has some kind of problems… he made comments about the smallest words he didn’t like (not necessarily wrong, but in his view it is). Course was subjective. Lectures are fun, readings are light. no final exam. I had to CRC it bc he gave me very low marks. 1/5. Grade N/A

PSY100 in summer- with dax. Most people say it’s a tough course but I think its because most people don’t want to do the mandatory readings. You need to read the FULL book for a good grade as well. Dax is engaging, fun lectures, they’re very dense in info. It’s better if you do the reading before lecture. Since I am taking it in summer, it goes by very fast. 12 tests 6 MC and 6 SAQ and 2 lab tests. MC can be tricky. Take it for science credit. 3/5. Grade N/A

I hope this was somewhat helpful to anybody who finds it in the future. Please check ratemyprof before you decide to take a course. My mistake was not doing so before choosing some courses like wri173 and some ppl who said ant102 is bird, nobody who took that course would think its bird. Anyway, different people have different perspectives and experiences with the same courses. Good luck everyone!

Osap payment?

Hey guys, OSAP gave me my money however it said its gna be a certain amount but when it landed in my account it was 2k less, and ofc i thought bc they paid my deferred fees. Acorn still shows me an outstanding balance like it wasn’t paid, but I’m sure they took money from the full amount. The office is not helping with this at all and theyre saying its showing unpaid. Anybody had this problem before??

Osap issue

Guys my osap keeps getting pushed and i am in desperate need of it. I submitted a ticket to askregistar and they haven’t responded. Has anybody had a similar experience? The school needs to confirm my enrolment so i submitted a ticket asking if they can hurry and do it.
