I have a bottle or chocolate syrup that is stamped #2 plastic which is recyclable in my area. But the actual product label has a do not recycle note on it. Can I just recycle it? Maybe remove the lid - it’s a black plastic squeeze lid?

Found in a house, left by previous occupants. Part of it adjusts by sliding and locking into place. Has mounting tape and 2 holes for screws.

Google lens gives me a different answer each time and doesn’t have good matches.
