Has the Polestar 3 rear camera view changed after the latest OTA update?

Has anyone else noticed a change in the rear camera view on the Polestar 3 after the latest software update?

My rear camera now has these noticeable “corners”/dark curved areas around the image, and the view seems much more restricted than I remember. I’m pretty sure the rear camera previously had a cleaner, wider view without these corners.

I’m wondering if this is actually how the rear camera has always looked, or if the camera view/FOV was changed with one of the recent OTA updates.

Can anyone with a Polestar 3 confirm whether your rear camera looks the same? Particularly interested in whether it looked different before the latest update.

2025 Polestar 3 Performance – glovebox won’t open, no manual release paddle?

Hi everyone,

My 2025 Polestar 3 Performance glovebox won’t open. The screen command doesn’t release it, so I removed the passenger-side lateral dashboard trim to try the manual-release method described in this post:
Original Reddit post – manual glovebox release

The problem is that my car doesn’t have the little “paddle” shown in the instructions/photos. I can see the mechanism/actuator, but there is no obvious lever that I can press or pull to release the glovebox.

Has anyone with a 2025 P3 had the same issue and found a way to manually release/open the glovebox?

Could the later 2025 cars have a different actuator/latch design compared with the early cars shown in the original post?

If anyone has managed to open it manually, photos or a video showing exactly what to press/move would be hugely appreciated.

Thanks!

EX90 3.0.33 released — Polestar 3 next?

EX90 3.0.33 was just released. Given how closely the EX90 and Polestar 3 software updates have been aligned lately, are we expecting the P3 equivalent to drop next?
Anyone heard anything or seen signs of P3.0.33 coming?

Nuvio + TorBox streaming fails only with ExpressVPN On

Platform/OS: Google TV, Sony Bravia 9
Nuvio Version: 0.7.20 Addons Installed: AIOStreams (Torrentio disabled)
Debrid Service: TorBox

Streams work perfectly with ExpressVPN off, fail (buffering/stuck) whenever the VPN is on. Want to keep the VPN on for everything, not just work around it by disabling it for streaming.

Troubleshooting steps tried so far:

Tried multiple ExpressVPN server locations

Switched protocols (Lightway/OpenVPN), forced TCP over UDP

Disabled all ExpressVPN security extras (Network Lock, Threat Manager, etc.)

Disabled IPv6 on device

Ruled out ISP-level DPI throttling — every other app works fine on the same VPN connection, only this stack fails

Ruled out TorBox blocking VPN IPs — TorBox’s own website streams and downloads the exact same file fine with the VPN on

Current best guess: AIOStreams sits between Nuvio and TorBox, resolving links on my behalf. Since TorBox’s own web player works fine on VPN but Nuvio+AIOStreams doesn’t, something in that resolution/handoff seems to break specifically when tunneled through the VPN — possibly an IP mismatch between when AIOStreams resolves the link and when Nuvio opens it.

Has anyone hit this exact chain (Nuvio + AIOStreams + TorBox + VPN) on Google TV/Bravia? Trying to solve it properly rather than just excluding the app from the tunnel.

Off-plan Dubai SPA only given after down payment — normal?

Hey all, buying an off-plan 2BR apartment in Dubai, and something’s bugging me — wanted to sanity-check if this is standard practice here or a red flag.

Already paid the EOI/reservation deposit. Sales agent confirmed verbally (and via WhatsApp) things like specific appliance/fitting brands, smart home automation (Apple HomeKit integration for curtains/lights/AC), and a customization we requested (bathtub swapped for a shower) — all approved. There’s also an official developer brochure listing partner brands (Bosch, Laufen, Apple, etc.).

The issue: the actual detailed SPA (Sale and Purchase Agreement) — the one that will legally list unit specs, price breakdown, and finishes — is only provided after the (larger) down payment.

Right now we’ve only seen a generic 60+ page template SPA that doesn’t even correctly reference our building name (looks copy-pasted from another one of their projects).

So we’re being asked to commit real money before we can verify, in a binding document, that what was promised (brands, automation, customization) will actually be included. The SPA has a standard “entire agreement” clause + a clause saying marketing material is “illustrative only, not relied upon” — which, if the final SPA comes back generic, seems to leave basically no contractual leg to stand on for any of the verbal/marketing promises.

Questions for people who’ve been through Dubai off-plan purchases:

Is it normal for the SPA to only be issued after the down payment, with no chance to review/negotiate terms beforehand?

Has anyone gotten a developer to add a side letter/annex confirming brands or features before signing?

If the final SPA comes back without what was promised, what recourse did you have — RERA complaint, renegotiation, walking away?

Any war stories or advice appreciated.

Possible bug after latest update? AC charging ETA keeps increasing despite constant charging power (Polestar 3)

Hi everyone,

I’m in Dubai and have a 2025 Polestar 3 Performance. After installing the latest software update, I’ve noticed something very strange with the charging ETA.

The car is charging on an 11 kW AC charger and the charging itself is completely normal. The power stays at a constant 10.5 kW with no interruptions, and the battery percentage is increasing exactly as it should.

The problem is that the estimated completion time keeps getting later instead of earlier.

11:48
73%
10.5 kW
ETA: 15:47

12:07
76%
10.5 kW
ETA: 16:07

12:51
81%
10.5 kW
ETA: 16:51

So the battery gained 8% in just over an hour while charging at a constant 10.5 kW, but instead of the remaining time decreasing, the estimated finish time moved more than an hour later. That obviously doesn’t make sense.

This is the first time I’ve ever seen this, and it started immediately after installing the latest software update. Before the update, the charging estimates behaved normally.

Has anyone else experienced this? Is this a known bug with the latest software or the Polestar app? Did your ETA eventually correct itself, or did the car still finish charging at the expected time despite the incorrect estimate?

I’ve attached screenshots showing the timeline. Any feedback would be appreciated. Thanks!

Constant rhythmic clicking/ticking at low speeds - P3 Performance (Video included)

Hi all,

I recently took delivery of a Polestar 3 Performance and have developed a specific mechanical noise.

It's a sharp, rhythmic metallic "ticking" at low speeds that matches wheel rotation. I can hear it especially when moving the car in and out of the parking area.

Has anyone else experienced this? Tbh, it's kind of annoying, and I really don't know if it's normal or what the cause could be. I'm also worried it might mean something serious that could eventually cause more damage or an accident in the future. Also, I don't know if it's because I'm more observant, but it seems to be happening more and more frequently.

If you’ve had this fixed, what was the official solution or Technical Journal (TJ) number cited by your service center?

Thanks!
