I love them so much

I just NEED to get my love for the “help my friends” quests off of my chest because they really expanded the complexity of these characters for me.

First one up was Odile! She already captured my heart what with her sassy behavior and maturity, but it was really interesting to see that “distressed” side of her and her struggles of identity. It only made me love her more when she opened up, she’s not the best with her emotions after all, and I’m glad she found an understanding heart in Siffrin (dude doesn’t know anything about his country after all).

And then was Mirabelle. Another person who Siffrin could somehow empathise with even for a bit. I kinda already got the hints of her asexuality but I had never considered how it would affect her religion! It was fascinating to see such a devoted person question herself and her beliefs, only to be relieved a bit of those struggles thanks to Siffrin. She really is such a sweatheart.

Ah Bonnie, Bonnie, Bonnie… This little crabbing gremlin always gets in my feels. Their concerns of being the reason to Siffrin’s missing eye was gut-wrenching, especially when it recontextualises all of their past interactions. They’re just a kid after all. Siffrin doubling down on their decision was just the cherry on top. He could never forgive himself if he let Bonnie get hurt, right…? In any case, I adore how Bonnie changes up their whole demeanor in the House after this, they’re just so cute and goofy and WAY more comfortable now!

At last was Isabeau. Sighhh I really thought his character was just the “buff stupid guy big heart but also sometimes has intelligent takes” trope. But it was oh so much deeper than that. Hated his nerd self so much he destroyed it all and went the opposite way. I can’t say I don’t resonate with that, I have forced myself to get out of my comfort zone and change my introverted tendencies to be more social, but he really took it to an extreme huh. I’m glad he had Sif to talk to under the stars’ brightness.

I. Love. This. Game. SO MUCH.

Anyway. Feel free to discuss whatever you want! I am also up to date with acts 4 and 5! Boy do I want to talk about those eventually…

Also fuck you King. I really thought there would be an understanding between you and your countryman.

ON GOD I WAS JUST PLAYIN-

So uhhh you’d think that after playing undertale, deltarune, omori and other 4th wall breaking games, YOU WOULD THINK that I’d do better than follow my morbid curiosity and make better choices, but NOOOOOOOOO.

But for real though, I was really shocked by how Loop just granted us that “power”. I did NOT expect them to casually transform into a robot and do whatever Siffrin wanted. That tells me either something about the nature of Loop, or Siffrin… and I was initially more inclined to doubt Loop but after finishing act 3… Yeah I think Siffrin’s bs wish craftiness had something to do with it.

I got so much to talk about I might make some other posts because holy shit was act 3 so GOOD. Helping out all of your family members, all the discussion around the forgotten country, Siffrin’s conversation with King, Bonnie… also hanging out with Loop! Though I was way too focused on talking to King that I went into act 4 before hanging out with Loop. Also, I somehow managed to get a specific cutscene with Loop, giving me the “What was that about…?” achievement. Could y’all tell me how I got that?

In any case, I am still LOVING THIS GAME. And I shall unravel all its secrets accordingly. I do want to ask some things about some “sidequests” tho. Specifically the “Odil being suspicious of you” thing. I feel like I just need to go around and get all the armors/weapons I already had, but that wasn’t enough apparently. May I get a hint as to what to do? I feel like it might trigger something insane…

He really was so heartbroken by it all… To have so much hope and happiness crash down in such a brutal and inexplicable way… Man this game is gonna fuck me up istg

Love the game so far. Just finished act 2 I guess. The King fight was harsh but doable by drugging the ever living shit out of the team hsing items. Apparently I hadn’t unlocked all of the crafts availavle by leveling up? I’ll see to it. I’m also pretty sure there are so many secrets and rooms I have yet to figure out.

Like on the 3rd floor, there are 2 other paths blocked by tears which I have ignored in order to get through the bottom left and finish tge floor. Also there are so many doors with passwords I have yet to figure out!

Welp Imma stop my playthrough here for today. Again, I fucking looooove this game. (No spoilers please I have yet to see what act 3 is about!!)

Well this is gonna be interesting

Just wanted to say that I just got this game and played like an hour so far (got it recommended cuz I love Undertale and time loops like Outer Wilds). I talked to everyone, (love the artstyle btw!), and was infatuated by the world. And then Siffrin died… like in such a stupid way that it almost made me laugh if not for his (their?) self hatred by how they died (seriously he got some issues). It doesn’t help that the first thing we see him do is eat a star I guess? Anyway I’ll get back into my first loop right away. Don’t spoil me anything please!

How to get accustomed to keyboard?

Hey y’all! So I’ve been playing rainbow on console for like 4 years, and with the recent update my duo and I are trying pc lobbies with mouse and keyboard to have fun and hell why not climb ranks in it and just learn the game from zero. Thing is, I feel as though the controls are alien to me. It’s especially weird to me to control all those keys with my left hand yk with all the leaning, sprinting, walking etc

I also have 3 extra keys on my mouse, so is there anything I could do with this? And if the default keys are already good, then which fingers should I use for movement overall? Or is it just a matter of getting used to it?

Gosh I missed this…

Ok first off I’m still playing the DLC so no spoilers please and thank you very much! I’m just writing as appreciation of how I’m progressing through the DLC.

I had played the base game around 9 months ago and I was so in awe of the ending and how it all played out that I had forgotten about the DLC entirely. I mean yes I was aware of it, but U was still on that high of the base game and just kept watching multiple videos about it and such and avoided the DLC until my Outer Wilds era just passed…

…until recently! I kinda got randomly nostalgic about the game and started watching a blind let’s play on youtube, replaying the game and getting active in the subreddit. So when I remembered that there IS a DOC, I instantly got it and finally played during these and MAN. I really missed this feeling of trying to figure out what is happening.

I’m still not done yet. I have yet to find all the projection reels and figure out what I need to do exactly, but wow I’m having so much fun! And also this is so scary???? When I saw those owls open their mouth I was taken aback????? And also I think I figured out how to access a parallel world what with dozing off with that artifact. I’m pretty sure they did this in order to simulate their home world which is pretty sad (not enough to make me less scared of them nonetheless). I also found one of them watching their home planet on a projection reel but the loop restarted before I could explore further.

Anyway I was just rambling about what I found but all I want to say is that I really love this game so much, all the discoveries, all the thinking, the stories unraveling, the feeling of bittersweetness. It’s all just so fantastic to play through and reinforces my love for video games.

Blue lock’s philosophy going forward

After this week’s chapter, I think everybody’s question on their mind is “What now?”. Yes we can laugh all we want at Rin’s interference costing the game (as we should, slander your hearts away), but in the grand scheme of things what Rin did is absolutely in accordance with Ego’s philosophy. Even Isagi acknowledged it.

The U20 WC arc’s theme is a clash of philosophies, and not like before where whatever Ego said goes and actually works. We’ve had the Nigeria game as an intro and example of how the egotistical philosophy works wonderfully, but now with the France game we have seen it crumble. The whole game was about challenging Ego’s views since the beginning what with Isagi losing control of the squad to Karasu, and even more so now with the last minute miss. All this to say that I think Ego will have to change.

We will see for the first time that Ego is wrong, which is natural as we have yet to see which philosophy is the most suitable for a striker and for our main characters.

Now what this philosophy is and who’s gonna come up with it? Yeah honestly I got no clue lmao. I’ll let the theorists think about it. I just love to discuss the themes of this manga because they are so PEAK.

What do y’all think? Is Ego wrong or misunderstood? Should Rin genuinely get slimmed?
