Has anyone successfully deferred an MSc offer?

Hello :)

Wanted to hear from anyone who has gone through the process before….
What reason did you give for the deferral, and was it approved? Were there any conditions attached?

Im mainly requesting a deferral bcz the scholarship i was planning to apply through unexpectedly closed, and there was some confusion around timelines/dates.

Would that be considered a good reason on its own, or should I mention plans to gain work experience during the deferral period?

I know its a case by case thing id just really appreciate hearing about others’ experiences :D

Thanks

Torn between a potential job opportunity and starting my master’s

Is the whole “overqualified” thing actually true for master’s degrees?

I’m not sure whether I should do my master’s now or wait a few years and get work experience first. Is it mostly personal preference/career dependent?

I have a 5 month internship at a pretty well-known company starting in June, and it could potentially turn into a full-time job. But I was also accepted into a master’s program that starts in August, so I’m really torn on what to choose.

For people who’ve been in a similar situation, what did you do and do you regret it?

Imperial conditional offer

So i received a conditional offer from imperial for masters.
Said i need to verify my certificate through a link (which i did rn) and Pass a college approved English language test… but i remember attaching my ielts when applying and i got an 8..? Is that not considered a pass or do they just need to check it again? If so how do i resend it?
