If this were your basement, where would you put a bathroom and bedroom?

If this were your basement, where would you put a bathroom and bedroom?

Gutted our basement walls and only kept the family room, laundry will need to stay where it is. Can’t figure out proper layout for bedroom and closet. Please put me out of my misery, so over the renovations.

SOS: Need help with newly refinished floors

We installed top nail red oak to match the rest of the house. Everything was going well until a construction project resulted in two massive deep scratches. How can we remedy this? Need advice, we’re new to home ownership. We tried to fix the deeper scratch with a high grit paper but got nowhere.

Turned a coat closet into a bathroom in

Bought a century home a year ago and tackled a massive remodel. Needed to move an awkward tiny bathroom from the kitchen to another place downstairs and the only spot that made sense was the coat closet. Thought it’d be fun to share, just need to add a sconce.

Photos:

  1. Original coat closet
  2. Finished bathroom (just missing sconce), photo at 0.5 wide angle to show layout.
  3. Finished bathroom, photo at regular mode to show that the space is small but workable.
  4. View of the bathroom from the living room.

Husband did all plumbing (learned as he went), everything passed inspection!

We turned the primary closet into an en suite but that’s still a work in progress. Stay tuned for that lol

Living room remodel century home

Bought a 1927 Tudor with great bones and tons of potential. Ended up needing to rewire the whole house, took it down to the studs, insulated everything and put up new trim. We wanted to keep the original trim near the floor but it was full of lead and decided to get new popular trim we’d paint. It’s finally coming together! Glass enclosure for fireplace just came in and sconce on the left wall went up! Can posted updated photos later too.
