I would appreciate an assessment of how competitive I might be for MBB MBA internship opportunities.

Professionals Background: Government

My background is in public-sector policy and strategy. I have worked as a Policy Advisor within the Ontario Public Service 4+ years, including roles at the Ministry of Health, Ministry of Labour, and Treasury Board Secretariat. My experience includes strategic policy development, health equity initiatives, workplace insurance reform, stakeholder engagement, jurisdictional research, quantitative policy analysis, and advising senior decision-makers on complex public-policy issues.

One of my notable projects involved analyzing workplace insurance funding and benefit reforms under Ontario’s Working for Workers legislation, including jurisdictional scans and financial policy analysis. I have also led procurement and evaluation processes, managed cross-functional stakeholder relationships, and contributed to major government policy initiatives.

Academically, I hold a Specialized Honours BA in Political Science from York University and will be starting the MBA program at the George Washington University School of Business this fall.

Given this profile, how competitive would I be for Deloitte GPS MBA internships in Washington, DC? What aspects of my background would be viewed as strengths, and what gaps or weaknesses should I address before recruiting begins?

Hi all I received an offer from GWU MBA im curious how unlikely it is for a candidate from a t50 school with 4+ years of government experience as a policy advisor in canadian provincial government how likely am I to get into MBB?

Let’s say I was accepted to the George Washington U Global MBA program with a significant scholarship is it well recognized and respected is it. This is not a generic question pls dont remove it im asking about school prestige

Going to GWU for GMBA a t50 school. What is the market looking like. I also have 4+ years of government experience as a Policy Advisor in several different ministries of Canadian provincial government. What does the market looking like rn. Are the odds stacked up against me and I’ll be another horror story severally in debt and shit out of luck?
