What would you pay for custom hi-vis clothing?

For those of you who wear hi-vis for work, biking, walking, outdoor stuff, or just because you like being visible — what would you actually pay for custom-made to your size hi-vis clothing?

Not big-company mass-produced stuff, but made-to-order/custom pieces. In flexible breathable fabric.

Like it tight? I got you
Prefer it baggy or long? Also got you!

What would feel fair for:

  • A shirt?
  • Pants?
  • A full set?
  • I am working on other ideas for those who gave ideas on our last post so keep an eye out for that!

And at what price would you immediately think, “Nope, that’s too much”?

I’m not selling anything in this post. I’m just trying to get a realistic idea of what people would actually be willing to pay.

Women who wear hi-vis/workwear — what do you wish existed?

Hi everyone. I’m working on women’s hi-vis workwear, and I’d really love some honest feedback from women who actually wear this stuff.

I already know the problems I’ve personally had with hi-vis clothing, but I don’t want to build something based only on what bothers me. I want to hear what other women deal with too.

I’m not selling anything here, and I’m not posting a link. I’m just trying to learn before I keep going with the design.

The idea right now is a women’s hi-vis shirt and pants, with sizes XS–4XL. Main color options would be orange, yellow, or green, with possible accent color options like purple, black, blue, pink, red, or teal. The goal is a better women’s fit instead of the usual boxy men’s fit, with reflective tape and useful workwear features.

It would not be ANSI/Class certified at launch, so I would not market it as certified PPE.

I’d love honest feedback on these questions:

  • What is your biggest complaint with women’s hi-vis shirts or pants?
  • Do you prefer fitted, relaxed, or loose workwear?
  • What features actually matter to you? Pockets, stretch, waistband, belt loops, zippers, radio loop, etc.
  • What would instantly make you NOT buy workwear like this?
  • What price would feel reasonable for a women’s hi-vis shirt, pants, or full set if it was handmade or made-to-order?
  • Would custom accent colors matter to you, or would you rather keep it simple?

I’m especially interested in answers from women who wear hi-vis or workwear for construction, road work, warehouses, landscaping, delivery, utilities, or similar jobs.

Thank you — I’m really trying to build this around real problems instead of guessing.
