I need to lose weight... again...

I had a gastric bypass and gallbladder removal a few years ago and lost over 100 lbs. Unfortunately with my bypass they took a little too much intestine and with the gallbladder removal I've had digestive issues. To deal with the constant pain and diarrhea my doctor advised what is basically constant grazing with lots of fiber and medication.

Constant grazing to avoid the pain and diarrhea has resulted in some of my weight coming back. I'm furious with myself and defeated. Since I'm disabled I can't exercise much at all. I have to start serious dieting again. I'm scared of the pain and ulcers if I don't graze. I cant take some of the medication since I have solid pain medication that it'll interfere with.

Any advice or motivation yall can give please let me have it.

A chicken needs a name

Our young rooster needs a name. He is pictured with his favorite hen, Red Sonya. A few other names from this years flock are MoHawk, Q-tip, Morgana, Galadriel, The Grey Knight, the Butt sisters, Fluffy and Big, Whine-a-dote, and the leghorn sisters, Foghorn and Leghorn. Obviously we are making a point of naming them, but don't take ourselves too seriously. His name used to be Maby Baby , but with him crowing and the undeniable feathers... he needs a better name.

Thanks for your thoughts. May your day be better than mine. Bonus pics... Speedy and Galadriel.

Our chicken of the day is this hen... she likes to sit on the little jungle gym I made for the brooder.. Can yall please give me an idea of her breed? My daughter thought she looked like a Barnevelder, but I'm not the smartest when it comes to breed identification... She has red on the head, comes down to those pretty orangish brown stripes, then a dark brown to black main body. Many thanks to all.

Bonus pics today are more of Galadriel, our most photogenic cochin baby. She loves to look at the camera and sit on my knees, or in this case my hand. She's going to be very very spoiled..

Also a few pics of The Grey Knight.

Last, but not least is MoHawk.

Yall have a great day. Thank you for your help with breed identification.

All four of our dogs are shelter dogs and pitt mixes. Unfortunately for our smaller two dogs the big girl will get ahold of ANY chew toy and just destroy them in record time. We know we can't have regular balls or cute fluffy toys because of the big girl (she's about 85 lbs on a good day), but I was wondering if there are any legitimate chew toys that they could all enjoy. It seems like they are either completely indestructible and have no give in them, so no chewing satisfaction for the dogs, or are way too easily destroyed... any thoughts? Yes, all four dogs share the same living space with us, so I can't just keep one dogs toys in a separate room for example.

I was attempting to work on household chores this morning. While transferring laundry from the washer to the dryer I lost my balance and fell backwards. My left foot got caught under the washing machine. It tore the nail off my big toe and has either dislocated the joint or broken the toe. I don't have the money for urgent care or an ER, so waiting until Wednesday when I can see my podiatrist. My nine year old son had to help me like crazy today. He helped me up, got me to the bathroom so I could wash the wound, then helped sanitize, dry and wrap the wound. I have sciatica and ddd, so my walking isn't normal even on a good day. Today I couldn't even get off the couch or up from my wheelchair without his help. He was a real trooper for a long time, but like the third or fourth time he had to help me up he went and got my emergency urinal instead. So then it was sitting with a jug of piss until he chose to empty the damned thing. He pointed out multiple times that its not his fault, and that I should know better. I want even walking, just transferring the laundry from one machine to the other. Living with chronic pain is maddening, but situations like this remind me that it can get worse, and as my father said "You know, its only going to get worse as you get older. Be more careful." I'm 52. I was just trying to dry the laundry. 😓😓🥺😩😫

Just a few follow up pics of my chicks from the "crazy lady starter kit" from cackle hatchery. While I have my thoughts, I'd love to hear your inputs , especially for MoHawk, the chicken in picture 1. I think the two white ones are white leghorn, but if so, is there something worth noting that one has like 4 or 5 gray feathers on both sides. Thank you ahead of time.

Galadriel is a cochin, and she's not shy at all. While it's hard for me to get good pictures of some of this year's chicks , for her a few small mealworm and she just poses like it's a fashion shoot. I love her fluffy very and inquisitive disposition. Bonus pics of MoHawk, The Grey Knight, and some group shots both by the brooding room door and them attacking my shoelaces. I was texting with one of my children, so I took a lot of pictures since they haven't been home in a few years ( they are borderline homeless and schizophrenic). Hope yall enjoy the pics. Sending my best wishes and prayers to all who have similar situations or are in one themselves. P.S. the red laced Wyandotte is Whine a Dote, another photogenic chick.

Foghorn and Leghorn, our two white Leghorn are the chickens of the day. These two are inseparable and very social. They like to sit on my shoulders, but i didn't want to try that with two chickens while driving so they had to sit in the passenger seat. Bonus pics of my black australorps.

I had a rough day today, going to a new physical therapy location. I didn't take any pictures for chicken of the day, so I've gone back to some old pictures. Today's chicken of the day is our rooster, Lord Buffington. He's a buff orpington and definitely protects and provides for the hens. Bonus pictures are of the baby chickens from last year. Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day.

I was talking with my physical therapist last week and we discussed my mobility aids. I use a cane in public, but limit my walking quite a bit. I don't like to use a walker. I find walkers to be more of a hassle than aid to me in most situations. When at home, or if I know I'm going to be somewhere a long time (visiting the museum with my kids for example, or taking my son to the gaming store where he plays Pokémonwith his friends) I use my wheelchair. I don't find it worth the effort of lifting it in and out of the car for shorter walks, or if a larger store has a powered shopping cart. I'm comfortable with my wheelchair at home. One of the main reasons I don't like to use it in public is that people stare, especially when I'm constantly talking with my 9 year old son. He, like many young boys, has HADD, and the contrast between him flitting around with lots of energy and me slowly rolling along has resulted in more than a few stares. My wheelchair can fold for transport, but it's a bit much for me to do without a second adult around. I spend most of my time either in my wheelchair or on the couch. I also have a motorized wheelchair for when my back deterioration gets to the point it's truly needed. So far it just sits in the front room waiting for me. I hate to have to use it, but have at times. I know this is just a vent, but thought I'd post it in case others feel likewise.

I think I'll take my wheelchair to my pt tomorrow, just to continue the discussion with my therapist. I go to therapy to work on my mobility and for pain relief. When doing the introduction session (changed from aquatic therapy to land based due to insurance and costs) last week she acted surprised that I feel ashamed or hassled by my wheelchair. It is worth noting that I didn't see anyone else there with a wheelchair, and only a few brought walkers ( large physical therapy location with a lot of staff). It is also worth noting that her supervisor had already tried to refer me back to my aquatic therapy saying "You are an excellent candidate for aquatic therapy... Are you sure you want to do land based physical therapy? I could get you a referral today "
