This was my first time booking a hotel. I’m 21 and going on a road trip with friends. Here’s what happened:

Arrived to holiday inn, booked through AAA, said they were overbooked and said they contacted us through Expedia (I don’t have Expedia account, does AAA book through Expedia?) they said could talk to manager about compensation and gave us a card, person at front desk didn’t offer another hotel or transportation, we had to get another hotel at 11 pm. Front desk offered refund that is all.

Can we get any sort of compensation from this? Who should we contact about maybe getting something for costs incurred for new hotel if at all. Thanks in advance.
