I'm a giant nerd, hoping to find another giant nerd so we can nerd out together. I like games (especially TTRPGs and board games), making things, animals and scifi/horror. I like quiet nights in punctuated by long road trips with camping and hiking. I am firmly childfree. I'm a biology teacher. I'm very liberal and non-religious. I'm fairly introverted. I believe in kindness and honesty. I try to live my life according to the Oscar Wilde quote "Life is too important to be taken seriously." I'm very willing to start things long distance, but I would want to close the gap eventually.

Some less tangible things that are important: I'm not looking for "my other half". I've built a pretty good life that makes me happy and I'm hoping to find another already whole person to share it with. I want to find an LTR but that doesn't mean we have to get married tomorrow. However, if marriage is completely off the table for you, we probably wouldn't work.

What I'm looking for: Someone who can make me laugh and who laughs at my jokes. Someone who wants to share some of my hobbies but also has their own interests. Someone not conservative and not religious who values education. Someone who likes cats and isn't allergic. Someone who has stood in awe of the splendor of nature at least once. Someone who understands that if I bake you a cake it means I really like you because my love language is acts of service. Someone who can temper my wild optimism without being overly pessimistic.
